Reading the postings this morning, yes Mr CashierTan normally this would be the case  at exdividends for most stocks, but not invariable for strong stocks which are kept for more promising growth going forth. Derek chong is correct the big investors normally have a time frame of 1 to 5 years for selected stocks mainly for their growth prospect not dividends. If hopefully barring another worldwide stockmarket disaster we are seeing K1 a $2 stock in 3 to 5 years the 6c doesn't really  matters. Of course it is a most gratifying hor'doeuvre for us now buying at 40/41c so close to the distribution - time and % is most opportunistic here, we are actually quite happy that some mightier hands are keeping it at 40c for us. Cheerio.

i kind of disagree with this view coz usually the stocks would correct for 6 cents when the counters is ED. however i agree that this stock is for holding for some time yet...

''If  I am a fund investor I will wring as much juice as I can from K1 to buy it cheap. Dose it enlighten you"

August, K1 is primarily a fund target, even our Temasek has a big stake in K1. In times as the allure and glamour of K1 increases there will be not enough free float at this price 40/41c  for other funds wanting to get in. It is the strategy and typical of funds accumulating this stock to at the closing everyday  or anytime the price seem to be running away from their buying range to depress it down by "panicking "the weaker hands to sell at their ranging price - the more the better. Notice that every day here are millions of strategic buying and selling queues to cause uncertainties in unwary anxious small holders to sell their shares cheaply. Just mark my words the longer the share is locked and accumulated at this range the more forceful will be the upward surge later when most of the short term layers are weeded out. If you are treating this "institutional"stock for the short term , then keep away from the big boys.

Thanks Savvysamyeo,

thansk for the education. But what I do not understand is,..why a sudden surge in sell down (by the millions!),.. when the AGM is just a few days away. I jump in to buy - can't control my impulse - and that on hind sight, I wonder if today's high volume should be view as postive or negative ??

.

Well, if I am a big investor I will be taking position at this price now in the market. That it will be 6c a share nett is a sure thing, 1 million share equals $60000 cash immediately! If I have $10 million to invest I will buy 25million shares and net $1.5 million cash all in slightly over 2 months. Hey this is only a sweetener I am expecting more exciting announcement and Q & A s at the AGM and if by the end of the year K1 becames 50c  I will have another 25% capital gains!  I can keep on dreaming and comest the25th Wed. if I am a fund investor I will wring as much juice as I can from K1 to buy it cheap. Dose it enlighten you?

Thanks,

K1 AGM will be held on 31Oct. Capital reduction of $0.06 per share is an item for approval. Expect announcement of book closure shortly after that. Expect to see movement of share price soon.

Does anyone know when is K1 holding its AGM? I think it is likely to announce book closure date for the capital reduction at or close to that date. Waiting for that announcement to bring K1 to $0.43.

With such a powerful and experienced person on board, K1 looks set to strengthen their fundamentals.

No wonder this counter is setting off..

Cheers.
