Ray,

Is TechOil&Gas still a good buy? Price retreat on low volume.

Thanks to all for the overwhelming response to Ray for the inaugural ShareJunction gathering.

I've volunteered to help organize.  Here is the proposed gathering date.

Date: 30th June (Sat)
Time: 3pm
Venue: Cafe or pub in central area, to be confirmed.
Agenda:
1. Introduction by Ray to basic TA
2. Q&A

Note: This gathering is not restricted to anyone.  TA experts, FA experts, novices, non-TA people are all welcome to join.

Drinks to be paid by yourselves.

RSVP: For us to gauge the approximate number of attendees, please RSVP to myself (terencechua@hotmail.com). Those who have emailed Ray previously on the gathering, please RSVP to myself.

P.S. There is no need to "register" as this is a casual outing with no pre-payment or reservation required. However appreciate responses for us to have an indication of how many people to expect.

Cheers.

Thanks all.  Please keep the interesting discussion going.  Sorry, can't really get into answering some of the questions though as I'm monitoring the action.  :)  About Ausgroup, not the right time for entry yet...but that's just my opinion.

Starcruises...already vested at 31, may sell also within the day judging from their previous climbs.

no worries,

maybe my book is kelong one... hee...

what i learnt was:

Recognition Criteria:

1. There must be an overall downtrend in the market.
2. The day gaps down, and the market opens at its low but then prices go up during the day and they close near to the day?s high.
3. We see a white body that has no lower shadow that is a White Opening Marubozu.

hi j30m3,

dun think occur only in general dwn-trend,im may not be right, got more to learn. This is wat i studied. Hope it helps. cheers
A bullish belt-hold is a one candle pattern consisting of a long candle in which the price opens on the intra-day low and then works its way higher throughout the session. The price does not have to close at the high, but the longer the real body, the more positive the candle. Also, if a belt-hold has not appeared on the chart for quite a while, it is therefore an unusual phenomenon. As a result, it gains in importance. This is because traders are making a very strong statement about their feelings towards the market with a belt-hold compared to the smaller candles that were previously a norm. Just think of a crowd murmuring, and then a loud voice comes from within the crowd. It is obviously a person who wants to be heard. The belt-hold following a long period of smaller candles amounts to the same thing. It is a one-day pattern that says loudly, "Listen to me because I am telling you, the short-term trend has changed".
