Australia Keeps Key Interest Rate Unchanged at 5.75% (Update1)

June 7 (Bloomberg) -- Australia's central bank left its benchmark interest rate unchanged today after an increase in borrowing costs last month dashed consumer confidence and slowed the housing market.

Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Ian Macfarlane and his board left the overnight cash rate target at 5.75 percent, as forecast by all 23 economists in a Bloomberg News survey. The bank raised the rate a quarter point on May 3, the first move in 14 months. Borrowing costs are the highest in five years.

By then the selling will be over. I think when the W/Cup starts, the Stock Market will be FLAT...................................................

To be in the Game, you need to endure the pain and wait for them to return. No red card please hahahahaha.

agree. STI is consolidating after the recent sell cycle.  It will be slow and range bound. Hope STI can recover to around 2500 level this week before world cup starts!
