India Coal, world's largest I think, had reported shortage in output and intention to raise coal prices. However, US demand for coal (last report I read) says it dropped by 5-6% due to power outage caused by weather conditions. And China meaures to lower inflation. Tension of opposites here. Besides, the whole STI is on a bear note right now and low volume. Without any catalyst on specific counters nor overall bullish sentiment for STI... very difficult.
anyone knows why keep dropping?
u still hold? drop 6cts after u vested...even now is the bottom already...

Coal/StraitsAsia: Some relief on short-term coal prices. Firstly, delays in Indonesia licensing permits for coal traders have been resolved, with the govt approving the permits. Approx 3.5m tonnes of coal for export were delayed since end Jan.
In Australia, coal mines and ports closed due to Cyclone Yasi were back up yday, although the impact of earlier floods remain. Hay Point Port which has two coal terminals, one of which is Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal currently operating at 80% capacity, re-opened.
