Asterisk, actually I have been posting though not on the fellowship thread. Over here cos' the conversation was drying out.. can't sing'du jiao xi'.

yes sir WIND..   I guess you typed too fast and I got you wrong on this little point - i know you have a great heart.... but then of cos I know you respect Choo Hian... she is indeed a great encourager.. in a gentle manner she has brought us back to the fellowship.. and also in this too I recognise Eastonbay, Asterisk..and Lausk22..

 

Fairygal : yes, RT is right. I am using the one mentioned by him.(hence the recommenation) .

basically it uses a sim card .. so i suppose u can use it anywhere you can use ur handphone....unlike wireless@sg where need to be at some specific hotspots..

can u speak on ur handphone from the Botanical Gradens?  ..if yes, then u can use the broadband there too.

baseerahmed, last time used the expensive type 1.. (mysingtel dialer) and somemore very slow oso.. then my fren got broandband then got "free dial up" dat only pay for phone charges only.. speed sama sama wif the former 1 bt very very cheaper... thanks for the info anyway..

 

rogue_trader :    noticed that u are using dial-up.i  am not sure who is paying for it , but i feel its very expensive if u are using the 'national red one' which is $1/- per hour.

u can sign up for the 'orange' broadband that comes with the 'mouse like modem' with min 6 months contract. it plugs into the usb (thumbdrive) port . it even gives u greater mobility if u have a laptop.

with normal online activities, it works out to less than $1/- per day.

one month's dial up can be streched to one year's supply of broadband.
