There are many ways to make money in the stock market. One way is to go long long with high potential counters like cosco, another is  to do TA and  trade based on  short term market sentiments  like Isolator ....  high beta stocks are their hot favourites. As long as he gets more rights than wrong, he makes money. As long as I buy low low and sell high high, I also make money... All depends on individual preference...

For  long term investors, bulls-eye in shorting or not,  is irrelevant to the long term prospect of the stock... unless of course there are fundamental problems with the company...
