karibu,  Jerome..  yes, beers may be cheaper then the bottled mineral water in Europe... but why not take the opportunity to sample the different beers from different cities, countries on this trip... I learnt a lot of beer characteristics doing this... and know the popular biers of each locality.... I guess you know the difference between ale and lager.... and if you are a lager drinker...  then you might want to concentrate on the different types even just on lager beers that is available.... oh my gosh... I can feel my own excitment as I wish I could make that trip with you folks, just to sample the rich diversity of the beers...... bon voyage...

most welcome, (karibu sana), kit.. Viking

actually most are back in the fellowship but... still some are still missing, my lady...  perhaps carried away by the orcs (of business & other involvements, or whatever reason)...Yoda but less they can free themselves, we should perhaps light a beacon and blow our horns that they might find their way back

dear jerome, Contiki looks great... travelling with young like minded ppl on a coach bus... I guess you would be sharing pointers with each other... so I think you would be in safe hands particularly as the driver / tour guide would help you along the way... personally for me 16 days is too short a time to really savour the cities, but I suppose you would want to maximise the places visited on your maiden trip to Europe... (i did the same too...) make sure you take lots of pics (at least 10 gigabytes of memory cards) and set your dates & time on the camera.. cos after the trip it would seem a blurr and your pics will help you recollect the moments and sceneries of your trip..

Oic... singaporegal... read somewhere amongst the threads that you are thinking of migrating to a quiet less hectic / stressful place..

well I guess we have to learnt to adjust to the market...  when its down or not to our reckoning., at least we can walk away, take off and go to spa..  btw talking of spas you should try the one in En Gedi by the Dead Sea ...http://www.ngedi.com  or if you think that too expensive go to on the Jordan side (Sweimeh)  but I must say this ..  nowadays... when I see a spa, I am reminded of you ... my point is life is still very good... even in work strung Singapore...

Hi chinkiasu,

I'm back since last week already. Just very busy with work and trying to catch up.

Market isn't too good these few days..... sigh...

Europeans drink more beer than water...

Incidentally, 'holidays' somehow suggests the market isn't going to be too good...

There are signs already of 'internal weakness' in the market....Smiley

RT, good observation. I am holding on to those stocks that I bought and are at a loss. Waiting to let go at some profit. Like my oculus, which I held for a long time. Sold at a profit (at 23 cents) but quite happy that others  after me have a chance to make money. No regrets although  it went  way up after my 23 cents.

hey AIR jerome...  may I ask how long you gona be away..?  looks like a lot of cities... perhaps you going on conducted tour or you going eurorail..?

but meanwhile general guideline... do look after your wallet/valuable & most important passport.... Europe though it sound so developed and safe is not that safe for Singaporean... you got to hold on tight to your wallet... and dont be distracted by strangers they can operate in team who see tourists as easy meat..for the fleeze.....

market volumes today not very "huge" as compared to past few days.. i suspect most of them are holding on to their scripts tightly, waiting for a "mini bull" to be sighted..
