It seems to me that alot of us seems interested in short term movement. For me, i always remind myself, that i am investor.and have to control my " fear" , and when price up i have to control my " greed" . I so far managed to.. so whenever the price up, i never sold . But when price down,i pick. Juet bought 3.35 . now q at 3.33. Book value = good entry... Belived me or not--- price will reach to its high, and pple will look back and regret. Look around , and those with holding " long" always have the biggest pie. Isolator , do u agree, if u have a million or half to spare..." long" or " short"
no - my party is --- upupup.. feel good.. down down down-- buy some more....

And it seems to me that u do not " owe" a house, young man. Becos, if one owed a house- whther is HDB or private- no one will like it to crash or decreased in value...So, u do not owe a house? Still staying with yr parents, hah?

What do u say? Cash is " king" , My 3.35 coming....the different is --- u do not have money " power" , but i have. It will hit 3.3 this week...
And most , if not, all, singaporeans are " kiasi" in nature. No one dare to vote " against" if their properties are in " stakes" . Right?
i can tell is whatever the outcome of the GE- everything will be the same - as before. Opposition still mansge to have 2 to 3 Mps , if not none at all. MM Lee has make sure that this island is free from " opposition" . Like the china , one party only. So, i can predict that no GRC will be lost. No one dare to vote against them as MM had said " U have prepared for yr property value drop, if opposition wins"

Anyway, only the government sector will have the increase... Private company will not follow... only if we have a strong union and law like Europe, then the poeple will be protected.....

i am sorry if u feel that way. I stated the facts, and if u don agree, its fine with me. I am just to correct yr facts. esp, the BBs behaviour. They usually go against the flow, cos they always want to get a good deal. No one could able to track the BBs cos they have mutiplies of accounts. With the backing of brokage firms (borrowed scrips) , they could easily " buy" and " sell" without u noticed. All we can do is to " track" their " big" lots direction. But ususally there is big lots buy ang sell at the same time. So far i ran through the SI station , there is none other than tracking on the " volume" mo0vement. Still to where, I could not find...

I agreed . But it also indicate that the US is still not ingood shape. It will lose confident for the market. A lot had anticipated that the US is coming out from the crsis- but if unemployment did not shows improvement, that indicate that the US might take a longer time to walk out from the crisis. Interest rate may not rise- good for market for short term , but not long term, as inflation will soar.....Traders are more sensitive to these types of news, becos it will create a short volatilty .

The higher unemployment rate is good for stock as Fed will not raise rate too soon but to keep it low so that mortgage rate can be kept low to avoid default of home loan by the many unemployed.

WASHINGTON : New claims for US unemployment insurance benefits surged more than expected last week to the highest level since January, official data showed on Thursday.
The Labor Department reported initial jobless claims rose to a seasonally-adjusted 429,000 in the week ending April 23.
That was sharply higher than the average analyst estimate of 390,000.
The Labor Department revised slightly upward the prior week's claims number to 404,000.
The department gave no explanation for the unexpected rise in the weekly indicator on the jobs market.
The four-week moving average, which helps to smooth volatility, was 408,500 claims, an increase of 9,250 from the prior week. The average had been below the 400,000 threshold for eight consecutive weeks.
The US unemployment rate fell to 8.8 per cent in March, its lowest level in two years, as the economy struggles to recover from recession.
