Btw, Viking has plenty of investment on other counters like uni-env and others.......making millions of profit from its sales. Also they claims to have better orders in their business improving But they are not giving any single cents of dividends. So disappointing...........How can invest? Wrong choice indeed
Whatever future's posting on this company, I will only be looking for an exit hopefully at my price of 18cents (Which I thinks its light year away). My advice for others is put your money elsewhere where is much activities so your capital will be on more productive purposes!
Empty vessel makes the most noise only. Just shit luck to have invested in it. Buy other counter is my advice. Good Luck

focus on its profitable biz...capitalize on the share price weakness..

You got to have holding power if you are gonna invest in viking . Fundamentally nothing had changed at the company . And at this current price , it provides buying opportunity .
The only risk i though would be the debt issue happening around Europe and united states , but i believe most who wanted to sell had sold . So there is potential that those issues and the law suit had been factored in .
There are also potential catalyst for viking
1. Winning the lawsuit
2. Better then expected 1H results
Remember that viking had only completed their relocation and integration of their business operation on Feb 11 . That should cut down their operational expenses and the results should be seen on the 2nd quarter and with rising rigs orders and upgrades for viking's customers , i believe those will benefit viking too .

The Board of Directors (" Board" ) of Viking Offshore and Marine Limited (" Company" ) refers to the
Company's announcement on 4 July 2011 which amongst others, informed that a report has been
lodged on 1 July 2011 with the Commercial Affairs Department raising issues with the financial record
keeping of Marine Accomm Pte Ltd (“MAPL”). Further to that announcement, the Board wishes to
announce that Tong Guan Teck, the former director of MAPL, has issued legal proceedings against
the Company by way of a counterclaim. The main claim in the legal proceedings was commenced by
DBS Bank Limited against, amongst others, Tong Guan Teck.
Under the claim by Tong Guan Teck, it is alleged that he is amongst others, entitled to an indemnity
from the Company against any and all claims against him by DBS Bank Limited.
Based on a preliminary review of facts, the Board is of the view that there is no merit in the alleged
claim by Tong Guan Teck. The Company has sought legal advice and will take the necessary steps to
contest the claim.
The Company will make further announcement(s) as and when there are material developments in
relation to the aforesaid matter.

your friend is right about the slower business growth overseas but their orders in singapore is picking up . therefore they recommend that the company will remain profitable .

Heard rumours about Viking's oversea business is very disappointing and coming results for 1H 2011 quite disappointing as well. Advised by friends in this field to switch to Genting something brewing hot in this casino business.
I guess this is a more promising action however LL can't do anything cause it is far away from 20cents target.

It will be great for a full claim but only if MAPL has only one creditior. Dun forget Viking is actually 20% shareholder of this company and total amount abt 7.7 millions hanging by a thread in this recievership company. The prospects of this issue is not as simple as we thought & doesn't look very good in my personal view.

" Stocks priced from 20 cents to $1.995 will be trading on a 0.5 cent spread, while stocks $2.00 and above will have a minimum spread of 1 cent."

how come today price drop untill 3 digit instead of 2 digit? I mean why drop $0.014 instead of drop $0.015?
