My 2cent worth only: Both of you are right, short term and long term. These situations happen to many other companies when some people see certain opportunity and time window to make quick money, so they push and dump, at the same time, other people see long term prospects, so they buy and keep. Another people will take this upside opportunity from 4cent to 5.5cent/6/7cent to sell some holdings make quick profit and keep some shares for long term upside. As long as the money one put in is not your "bread and butter", one can sleep soundly at night. With all the available news and information, my gut feel : Biotreat is beginning to see the lights at the end of the tunnel.
1. I am certain, i wanted to use public money to turn around.
2. I took this opportunities to announced this S$95mil project and more..?.
3. I has gone from 4c, now 5.5c & await 8ct..? 
as i wanted to push and dump by Dec 14 (2days more for me to dump), so i can make 100% profit 1st.
4. I will watch my growth come Dec 24, 2010 (Friday - X'mas eve 
)
just sharing alternative opinion. Pls do ur home, so is me - Bio-treat with care.
For the last 2 years they were fighting for survival, they had the whole management revamped, focused on debt restructuring and trying the stay alive as an ongoing concern. They mentioned that did not enter into projects as time and effort was spent on keeping fixing the company to alive.
To address the ongoing concern, they had the RTS exercise. If successful will put the company in a firmer footing. With the debt restructuring almost completed, whole management revamped and majority of 13 plant operational( but still not fully utilized), this rmb500M announcement says a lot.
It says.
1. I am certain of a turn around, am alive, out of the woods and I am roaring back.
2. I can now focus to do more projects and source for other revenue streams.
3. I am cheap for those who buy me now, coz when i fly you it will be a multi-bagger.
4. Regret shall me those who scorn and look down of me coz of my bad past but I am now a creature ..just watch me gggrrOOOOWWWW.
Sorry, its not BB rolling in good news, it is the company making the news...and so it happens that the news went out just in time for the rights exercise..Coincident or trying to ensure rights exercise is successful, I leave it to you to decide.
Company already making money even without projects as their plants are self sustaining. Of coz with projects and other revenue streams will help to make more. If its a case of pump and dump.. the dumping will happen when rights are traded for those who dont want to hold...but imho the price should pick up from Feb 2011 onwards after the Qtrly results.
As usual do your own homework, my 2 cents worth only.
Read some where it worth in Sing dollar - S$95million. How profitable who know, can someone enlighten...
Usually to start raising fund, it has to do with those BBs 1st, rolling in good news.
Company can win tender, can make money or not we don know, meanwhile Biotreat will would like to take this opportunities to prop up such news to get player get excited and start chasing up...humm till Dec 14.
Just Bio-treat with care if you want to vest money in, they're propping the share price artificially until 14th.
I see it as push and dump, read that trading start on Dec 24, 2010.

| Bio-Treat Technology wins $99m water treatment contract in Henan |

Bio-Treat Technology says it has signed a water supply, wastewater treatment and recycled water contract with the Henan Province San Men Xia Industrial Zone Consultative Committee with a contract value of RMB500 million ($98.7 million).
The investment in the first phase of the project is estimated to be no less than RMB80 million. The funds required for these BOT projects will be financed through internal cash flow and domestic banks borrowing. The Henan Province San Men Xia Industrial Zone is located at the intersection of the Henan, Xia Xi, Shanxi provinces and is located in the heavy industrial area of Henan province. The San Men Xia Industrial Zone is rich in natural resources such as gold, silica and coal.
The San Men Xia Industrial Zone water treatment plant has a total treatment capacity of 200,000 tonnes per day, a wastewater treatment capacity of 150,000 tonnes per day and a recycled water treatment capacity of 100,000 tonnes per day.
The company is currently undergoing feasibility studies in the San Men Xia Industrial Zone and it is expected that work on the water treatment plant will commence in the first quarter of 2011. /fyi reading

If you hold stocks, you could sell the mother and redeem the son, meaning pay for the ransom to get the son at 4 cents.
So if at 6.5 cents, you make a theoretical profit of 1.5 to 2 cents taking into the intrinsic cost of the rights sold earlier at half to 1 cent that you did not sell when you could..
Even at 5 cents now, you could make some gains if you trade in big lots of 100 lots above.
Better to take profit @
.65, if you have any...

Nearing the deadline for accepting rights issue 14 Dec, glad to see that the price is heading up north 0.05 to 0.055 ! Yahoooo :)
