when supply and demand are just about equal, the prices tend to be volatile...not steady when price is clearly in demand or seller's favour...trying to find equilibrium....
No wonder GMG fell today.
Rubber futures touched a 5-week low for the 2nd time in a week on Friday as worsening technical factors prompted stop-loss selling by investment funds.
Japanese retail investors were mostly on the sidelines ahead of a series of public holidays beginning next week.
Another factor capping the TOCOM market is expections that physical demand from China would slow ahead of the Labour Day holidays.
It appears from the AGM this am that the big boys are getting into this company...at least this seems to be what the BOD were saying...unverified.
NR futures on Tocom turned positive today!!
Doesn't seem to have any alternative views previously.
Happy07, Good luck to you! Hope to see you back soon!
Hello Bullrun and Stockking,
I have leave this counter temp for others. But I will be back again. It is nice to know that you will always be here...Thanks for all your sharing.
Regards,
Forum is only interesting when there are discussions of alternate views. Happy to see some long lost bro's back to this thread. Fundamentals will drive the chart!!! All fundamentals still intact!!! For investment on company like GMG, go for long term to reduce risk. Looking at rubber future fluctuation day to day is not worth the effort unless one want to do rubber future trading!! Looking at longer term...I quote this from an interesting article that I read recently!!
"If we see swings of shortages after the wintering, I'm sure the price will shoot up towards 320 yen," Sugata said, referring to the annual dry season for rubber.
Happy to see alternative viewpoints rather than just positive ones.
More bearishness. Rubber futures on the TOCOM down by nearly the max daily limit of 10 yen per kg ahead of Japan's Golden Week holidays. There were also fears of a weaker than expected Japanese economy and overheating Chinese economy will result in investment curbs, reducing NR demand.
Another active trading day for GMG..........
Asia rubber supply tight, China to keep prices firm

Happy to see that GMG attracted so much interest lately!!
Wise choice, jessie and shplayer.
TOCOM rubber futures turned higher after 3 days of decline. Rubber futures were slightly firmer at the start amid bears' buybacks. Selling on a rally became active toward the morning close. As a result, all contracts fell into minus territory at one point. In the afternoon, buying grew on the back of oil futures' strong performance.
Oil futures rose above US$68. However, it has since fell back to around US$66.
Another day with huge volumes.........
Me too. I have unloaded mine at 17 cents liao.....
Rubber prices have been weakening since end of March.
I will advise caution in this euphoria.
I have divested all my GMG.....now sit on cash and wait and see......
