For newbie investor.. Wait a while can pick at 7 or 7.5 cent if the RTO happen.. Rather than take div by purchasing at 12.5cent or above..
Usually the chances of making money after div is announced is slim.. All depends on market condition.

Those new to the market who chase after the share from 13cents onward will get stuck... Chasing after div ann this is what usually happen... Struck with shares that do not fit into your portfolio.. A basket of unwanted stock...

ACTION BEGINING?
Thanks Vic. I am glad that the spirit of debate in a company meeting is still alive, though not in many listed companies where the chairman frequently abuses the chair without waiting for questions to be posted. They usually will come out with two sentences, "any questions?" pause 5 secons, then "if there are no questions, I shall put the proposal to vote; can someone raise his hand to propose, and someone raise his hand to second." all the jass and then "those in favour put up your hands." and "those against, put up your hands". It is real stupidity to put your hands in an agm or sgm where the proposals are never even debated or question asked.
So I beg all shareholders to show professionalism when you attend a meeting, not just for the makan hoh.

it was discussed "vehemently"....
To be honest, the moment that the 20% discount and 20% share issue resolution was voted down and the rights issue resolution approved, I was on a buying spree of achieva shares the next day for a solid 7 trading days. 6c to 8c and the moment the 4c was announced, 9c to 12.5c.
Of course I cashed out the higher price ones ie 8c onwards but those bought 4.5c to 7.5c. Kept it in stock.
Now waiting quietly for the paid out date.

It must be noted by all forumers here that sometimes a resolution can be voted against in an agm or egm or sgm.
Like the case of Achieva, where the shareholders voted against issuing shares at a discount, I really interested to know whether the resolution was disccussed "vehemently" at the meeting.
Can someone who attended the meeting care to give some background information? We all can learn and in future vote against a resolution if not beneficial to everyone and the company as a whole.
Not vested in Achieva and not thinking otherwise at this moment. |

Lucky u...me also lucky not greedy to buy in much at 9.5c & 8.5c. A little more @ 7.5c. If drop further then I also drop lower...Haha waiting for 6.5c perhaps...:)
This one down, very the happy. Luckily never go & greedy for the SO GENEROUS 4cts dividend. Hehehehe!
Just queue earlier should be able to get it. I queued 7.5c on Monday 6pm. Got it on Tuesday @ pre-opening. I got some @ 9.5c, some @ 8.5c too...:) maybe next week cheaper
Hard to get 7.5cts now. Been queuing but seems sellers are reluctant to let go. But am patient....

Speculative... Investing in a business or chasing for short term div gain? Based on the current price most investor are using $125 to chase for the $5 or $10 gain per lot. (Most of the mentality of common investor is in the event of getting trap by BB at least got 40 dollars and using the yield to 40/125 to console himself - His capital will be trap in some small company with low earning visibility... Worth to punt??? using $125 to bet for winning of $5 before commission (lousy payout) Unless using contra, but dont forget if get trap must come up with the cash to pay for the cash...

100 lots done @ 7c
4442 lots done @ 7.5 c
5 lots done @ 8 c at 16:56:59
48 lots done @ 8 c at 17:05:01
Anyone care to throw some light over the last few transaction @ 8c ?
Who's that lucky fella who got 100 lots @ 7.0c?
Yup...I'm on standby next week..but since market is now very weak...take profit from the other counters and start buying in
Just pick up some @ 7.5c...:)
Any takers?
It's about time to whack Achieva again. Dun forget.
Ok. Thanks for the clarification.
a private company take over a public listed company to bypass all the listing processes...
Thanks for the reply. But what is reverse takeover?
RTO is reverse takeover. BB is a jargon here = Big Boys
