many reasons blamed for price plunge F& N uncertainty, weak 1st half performance, thai recession, lower consumption, and most recently, upcoming alcohol excise taxes(yet to be reported by local media yet)
personally i believe with the combination of weak baht and tax avoidance, distributors and vendors may increase their purchases of alcohol soon to stock up before the tax comes into effect, so the expectations of a better second half may materialise

The drop in share price unimaginable and devastating.Tremendously oversold. Agree with Sporty that if it dips further , then add more. For long term, fingers crossed, cannot go wrong.

Thai economy is in technical recession plus a weak baht... Just have faith and add position if you are planning for long term

Is this a good thing or bad thing? Will it be advantage to th bev share price or adversely effected ? ? higher gearing ? They actually lost money last quarter... Their sales so far only based in Thailand if they can like penetrate into Myanmar or like Sino grandes penetrate into china market.. It will be super big and good but at current stage, looks like on ASEAN player not even penetrate into Myanmar market.... Fundamentally can be a long term holding

Fraser & Neave, controlled by Thailand?s richest man, is planning to separate its property business from operations including beverages and publishing, said two people with knowledge of the matter.
The 130-year-old conglomerate will split into two separate listed entities, said the people, who asked not to be identified before an announcement expected today. The company said earlier today in a stock exchange statement it plans to announce ?an important corporate development.?
