Depends on how the market wants to react really.Just like SIA sold off its Virgin stake at a loss too and the counter still went up marginally.

SINGAPORE - Singapore Telecommunications said on Tuesday it has agreed to sell its entire 30 per cent stake in Pakistan's Warid Telecom to a unit of the Abu Dhabi Group for US$150 million.
" Excluding the value of any future transaction interest, the estimated loss on disposal will be approximately S$230 million (US$186 million), including the foreign currency translation losses and transaction costs," SingTel said in a stock market filing. -- REUTERS

big price swing today.
if it carry on with the dive till end of this week then
Exdate will drive the price further down........shorters, this bugger good to seriously look at if these happens
can short till 3.22 if everything goes fine..............cheers
When funds relinquish their position or take profit in some stocks, usually they will park their money in defensive stocks like singtel, sheng shiong etc if there is no clear target to acquire.
Defensive stocks pay good dividend or at least better than bank interest rate and they are very stable.
This could explain why there is a slight surge in singtel share lately.
Any particular reason why SingTel price has shot up so much over the last 2 days. The counter normally doesn't move by more 2-3 points.....can someone throw some light pls?

Singtel big component stock, they must move to move the STi, then I guess Blue Chip like SMM, SCI and KEPCROP will move fast also...

Ulikely, in my opinion, quite strong support around $3.10.
anyway when's the next meeting to announce dividends for Dec?
