If the market has already 80% shorting ..... then it's time for it go up ..... then there will be 80% majority losing to the 20% big sharks .....

Dear Ivorycoast,

Keep money cost averaging (buying) till the price near to Zero, as simple as that!!!

Herd mentality creates the "20% winners, 80% losers" ratio.

So if so many shortists, what will happen ?

So as suggested ..... isn't it safer to cover shorts earlier ?

In order for someone to win, another someone must lose ... "Debit = Credit" .....

If too many shortings have been carried out, the market must move up for the shortists to lose money .....

The rest ..... your take .....

poor thing, kena short kau kau...

the price i am willing to pay is 0.18-0.19, the price before they merge with genting and won the bid... since they are out of the sentosa bid ( even though they have new business opportunitise) , I believe people are just cash out, and back to the 0.19 level.. my guess... then, I will be one of the star cruise shareholder, waaa... sounds good.

correct my previous post statement:

NB: Unless you are aiming the Cruise business for the long term, then buy Star Cruise

Why buy Star Cruise when you can buy Genting for the 100% stake in Singapore Casino. If you want to have a stake in the Singapore Casino, just buy Genting (be focused and direct, do not act smart and make a BIG round turn). Buy for long term and not for contra :)

NB: Unless you are not aiming the Cruise business, then buy Star Cruise

Technically, SC is a too low now relative to its hype.

Reasonable to expect a swee swee recovery anytime soon.

In anyone view, will SC be a takeover target by Gen Int or any big muscle ?

I think SC is a very good complement to our IR business le.  Can also bring gambling clients from all over the neighbouring places and dock them at Marina Bay or Sentosa.

As long as uncle lim and uncle ho do not terminate the deal....it will be a very good NEWS for StarCruise!

If Genting's offer is same as uncle ho's offer, then it will be very very good NEWS!

Hi Elite.....

Layman analogy

For SC, due to suspension for more than 2 days, many of the small time investors are greatly affected due to the contra period, the brokeing hse will force sell their share if they do not pay up.

I think SC will drop for some reasons that they are out of IR that most of investors are looking forward to. My guting feeling SC will goes up if genting willing to pay for high price to SC to take over the 25% of the IR project ie 500million dollars to SC or more. If genting willing to than gut feeling genting may issue placement share for more money or get another investor to take over SC which is highly unlikely that the new investor willing to pay SC for the project which take 2 years or so to materialise provided SC do not wish to have a single cent for the withdrawal. If SC willing to retreat without asking for a single cents which is highly unlikely because they have ask an acounting company to access the situation, them genting share may fall and SC share may rise.

Hi wait4opp

Pse don't mislead.   SC will  sell its 25% stake in IR to GIL - the amount is going to be "phenomenal", judging by the $5.2 billion cost of the project , and will mean an immediate profit to SC straightaway without having to wait for 2010.  SC investment in the Macau project (which probably may be increased since it has the fund from the IR sale)  and SH's investment in SC is mutually beneficial to both parties.  Pse don't think GIL is  that stupid to make any decision that will drag down the price of SC  shares   Guess the suspension will be just as long as the previous one.
