Hi idesa168. I naked short SGX before. They will buy in for you at the closing price of T+3, OR, the last done price of T+4 add 2 bids, whichever is higher.
Good news from uncle DOW, Futures up 181 GREEN! Tomorrow STI will cheong!
If GOLD and OIL is going higher, just watch all stock counters. It's quite certain most stocks will fall in general. Zanetti, you are right that if DOW dropped, not all counters will follow. I felt that today SGX should follow the banks and overnight DOW today. But becos it had been hammered quite badly lately, technical rebound is sure to come, but I did not expect it comes today. Whichever the case, please dun do technical rebound on Friday and Monday, I will be dead, my life in the mercy of this burger...pui!...back to the topic, see the bigger picture guys. GOLD and OIL (and inflation and speculation of recession) is going higher and higher each day. What logic do stocks have to climb? What we are seeing now (today) is just tech rebound and wun be able to sustain. I have witness the 1998 & 2001 crash and Sars, drop 30% a day and the next few days no volume. That was a scarry bear. I am staying clear of stocks, maybe end of the yr be back with stock again if all issue are answered.

no lah, I am alright, just 2 lots. The damage will not be big. Yes, I dump yesterday morning, then I shorted this evening....sigh, no luck with this counter. I have been making in other counters, shorting First Resource, then buying back in both directions and making from it. But this one, sigh, no luck! This afternoon I shorted for fun only, never know got myself into this. Next time must properly in the transaction. Take for granted that it will clear since it crossed my bid price when I bought back. But oko lah, virus 7667 say damage only 600...but that is my one month salary!

Too risky in my own humble opinion but what is done can't be undone... i am just opposite of u still holding on to 3 lots since friday.... so.. let see how things goes.. i will pray for DOW JONE to lau sai after i unloaded ok? hee... i dump tomorrow and pray for u tomolo night ok???

Oh, SGX will buy back only T+4 later? I thought they will buy back the very next day. Thanks everyone for the advise. This is my first time leh...hehehe...must give ang pow hor...lol! Yah, I shorted 2 lots only, so the damage will not be huge if SGX maintain at this level. If they drop from here, does that means that I might stand a chance to gain? Assuming T+4 11-11.30 am it trades at $6.20, they will buy back at $6.22. If I shorted @$7.05, I will gain the difference? Like that I go church temple hindu temple and even to cemetery...lol...joking with the last one, let the dead rest in peace, not bother about my 2 lots of SGX...lol! Cheers everyone, you are helpful!

I have naked short before.. U cant do anything now, except go temple pray pray that it falls sharply between T+4 11-11.30am. This is the point where SGX will buy back for u.. Hmm, regarding higher transaction cost, i checked last time, its not that much afterall unlike pple said so... maybe my contract is small.. abt (18K)..
bcos tat day i kena short delong at $3..end up it went UPPPPPPPPPPPP....end up lost $4000+...tmd...sighs..everyday cant sleep till day 5....wondering wats the price and curse the price to go down more.....

somemore you shorted their counter, maybe they buy back for u a few notches higher?? just joking
generally T+3+1 (next monday) around 1130am, they will buy in for u.....
