EastonBay: yeah..one of the reasons why I had signed up for 6 months ...with emphasise on wireless@sg ... and island wide coverage planned ....hoping the prices might thumble ...why get tied for 24 months ... but of course , depends on ur usage and needs ...just a thought

thanks RT and Jerome. Looks like we are all skeptics. Maybe I should ask them are they signing a 24 mths contracts with me? i.e. they cannot raise the price for the next 24mths? Thanks for your reply!

 

Another possible scenario is that they are perhaps afraid that everyone else will lower their broadband price soon and I will switch allegience as a result. Therefore they are trying to tie me down?

eastonbay, although i do not have a broadband at home bt if i will you, i will wait until my contract expired then i go hunt... scaly not u go out hunt, is those service providers come and hunt you wif extreme good freebies..

EastonBay, when Starhub becomes so generous, makes me very afraid. Maybe they trying to do something similar to what they did with the cable TV. Tie up alot of ppl to contracts liao, then conveniently do a "price revision" stating that they have not done so for a long time liao...

 Be afraid, be very afraid...

Qn about broadband service, any idea who has the best deal in town now?

 

I received a surprise call from Starhub yesterday regarding my maxonline. That man told me my contract is not up (24months) until August. However, they are going to offer me 20% off monthly subscription if I sign another 24 months contract starting next month. My current monthly fees is $56 (excl GST) for 3500mbps package.

 

Guys and gals, do you think it is a good deal? I am suspicous because they are usually not so generous. They make sure you fulfil your 24months b4 you can do anything about it. Besides, at IT shows, PC show, Singtel, Starhub etc give out generous gift like laptop for a 24 months contract, right?

 

Should I take the deal? or wait until contract expires in August then hunt? The saving will be $268.80 for the 2 years.

 

eastonbay, i more kan chiong than u.. i bought the 1st prize winning tickets yesterday night... so the 2nd 1st winning ticket in your hands liao la... ok, going to call up singgipools to stop issuing 1st prize toto numbers liao... whether got tio or nt, i only believe in the quality of the kopi and the companionship... cheap 1 kopi oso nevermind as long as kopi must be good and you must be steady... cheerios.. kan bei 1st to our winning tickets.. hahahaaa.

 

RT, I went to buy toto already, finally! If tonight tio, we can go for higher class kopi like those cool coffee houses, if bo-tio, we will have kopi at kopitiam. The pt is, it is great to drink kopi with a pal!
