Neptune Orient Lines rated 'buy' by OCBC

OCBC Investment Research in a Sep 9 research report says: "The group
reversed six consecutive quarters of losses and posted a US$99.7 million
profit for the quarter, lifting it to a net US$1.2 million profit for
1H10.
"NOL's swing to profitability surpassed expectations of both
consensus and management, who had earlier anticipated losses to extend
into 1H10. NOL expects its recovery to gain momentum in 3Q10 as the full
impact of Transpacific rate hikes set in. According to management, 3Q10
freight rates have been buoyed by robust demand stemming from inventory
re-stocking for the year end Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
"At 1.3x FY10F NAV, the stock is still trading below its valuations
seen during the previous recovery phase in 2002-2003. Unchanged $2.41
fair value estimate. MAINTAIN BUY." |

trust me... give the counter a few more days.. :) it was when i gave up on the counter.. that it spring back to life. after i sell my stock, the px rise 5cts .. and another few more cts the next day..

Hi Victorf, tks for your tips on NOL. How about Fu Yu? Still on your Buy on Dip list? Tks again.
NOL is on our "BUY ON DIP" list....it is a laggard now, and with index above 3000 points and baltic dry index recovering more than 20-25%, there is no reason for it to be at this cheap price....good luck :)
Ha ha, two r ship building, whereas d other is ship liner. Perhaps, once more shipping order coming, then ship liner will be benefited loh. Guesses only lah. Cheers.

Will NOL boom?
Well, NOL as stated in my blog (http://star-trader.blogspot.com , it rebounded from 1.90 during when I mentioned it will hit at mini-wave to 1.98 to 2.00 and from there, there will be another look on how the trend will go.
It managed to reach the high of 1.99 but not able to sustain thus, dipping back to 1.95 today to form black candlestick with selling pressure exist. If it is not able to hold on, it will dip back again to form double-V wave..

"Buy On Dip" for NOL....NOL is our top pick among all the blue chip (as always, our call is with no hindsight and we will let Market to prove whether we are right or not).....ignore all the noises here....and always be critical of analysts report as some can be on hindsight...when analysts from Citigroup downgrade Genting to Sell at target $0.65 or $0.80 or below $1 sometime this year, we almost FAINT (here we see Genting now at $1.60 plus)....remember Market is always Right!!!! good luck :) |
