...DOW possibly go higher than 14,500, eg. 18,000...

Possibly even lower than that eg. .98 .

STX OSV ST: short term rebound towards $1.30
Alternative scenario: the downside breakout of $1.20 would call for $1.16 and $1.14.

Looking at the Corporate Structure, fund managers may not find this one sexy. It is under the Ministry of the Economy and Finance of the Republic of Italy. What is the corporate culture? Civil service mentality? Still yet to be seen. That's why not pricey!
agree...there are many theories try to justify the direction of stock price. unfortunately, there is no one theory that can justify everything.

There's no doubt whatsoever that this stock has extremely strong fundamental.
But that is not a good reason to be buying or holding it. Other factors also important.
Otherwise this stock would have " Chiong Aaaaaaaaaarh!!! long ago.
GLP run up last Friday and today. A few days before the run up the price was depressed and broke 2.60. so is ezion, the price was depressed before the trading halt and subsequent run up to 220. the invisible hand of the market is playing now. the counter being played now is VARD. AGM is two weeks away and the fundamentals are still good as reported in the 2012 annual report.
Prices broke 1.22 for the first time today. bearish? bullish? It is your call depending on the your read on the technical and fundamental. Price movement now is just noise and I will ignore that. For me, it is too close to the AGM and I will stick to the fundamental which is still sound.
U buy when no body is interested then the share price will be artifically depressed & derated due to the lowball($1.22per share)offer by Fincantieri for STX Gp's 50.75,bootom liao and limited downside from current price so the only way is up

Kim Eng on April 2 give a T.P of $1.66,as a quality Norwegian shipyard with a niche in high specification offshore support vessels(OSV),Vard deserves to trade at a premium to Asian OSV yards. With a potential capital upside of 35% and FY 2013 forcast dividend yield of 4.9% which can rise to 7.3% in FY 2015 STXOSV is a steal at current price..now U understand, ehat's the point of chasing a hot stock ,only to be left naked when the tide recedes

It is amazing that with hundreds of good counters available to play,
people still insist on creating problems for themselves by stcking to this one.
I will look out for one Gorgeois lady n gang on that day.

Me n my gang will be there too!
Maybe going down to attend the AGM on 23rd as VARD is my major holding. Beside the artic route, the increase activity in deep water drilling will need bigger and more complicated OSV which is VARD's niche. Will be interested to hear their plan for the upcoming Brazil yard and their order book development in the competitive market.

VARD had a rough 4Q with low utilization of its Romania and Viernamese yards. The offshore vessel market is also increasing competitive as a result of low activity in global ship building industry. The new orders of 16 vessels and combined order value of NOK 9.5 billion is testament to VARD resilient in this niche. Loan has doubled from 2011 due to construction of the Brazil yard. However nett cash remained strong with NOK 2.4bikkiin as at 31.12.2012.
New shareholder Fincantieri will bring new opportunities. However how this will translate into bottom line will depend on the road map and business direction set by the new owner. Changing its name to Vard to reflect its European root is a good step in the right direction. We just have to keep faith with the management which is by and large unchanged and led by veteran CEO Roy Reite who has served as the president of VARD since 2001.

If this one touches 1.20 on Monday, it may be " game over"
for this counter, as it may fall lower after that.
Yes, sifu is very, very right...
STXOV is no more in existence. Vard is a new entity with new considerations.
Vard is a completely new animal now.

Sifu is right there... Why create unnecessary problems for oneself?
Especially when there are hundreds of other goodies for the picking.
