I am of the view that biotreat is beginning to see lights at the end of the tunnel....judging from the top volumn closing at 5.5cent, it should be moving up to 8cent in near term, maybe within 1-mth, based on past months' price movement, buyer beware. Next quarter report should be before late Feb.

I agree too, unless u can buy and hold for month. I bot and wait for 1 month+ then can sell. Cheap counter can buy many lots, but px movement wait long long to jump 0.005 only, but cheap counter good for holding long if u think that company still got some upside advantage behind.

Ah! This is correct use of the word 'accumulation'.

    And accumulation (without price movement)

can sometimes take months and months ...Smiley

I had load this counter at 0.45 last month and unload just now at 0.50 liao. Now a lots of Q at 0.55, so if u buy at 0.50, be prepared to jam behind 0.55 Q if u want to sell quick. If u can buy and hold long, 0.50 is a better px to buy now. If not better dont touch now.

Blue chips and mid caps have had their days in the recent months.  Now we must watch the penny stocks that are below 50 cents to 2 cents. Think they will move in the first quarter of 2011, beginning from now.

The fact is not new...

But is is startling once one begins to think

about the dubious term 'paper loss'.

Many regard paper loss as not a loss

until they have sold a stock away.

But I find that kind of reasoning very, very hard to fanthom.

I mean whether one has sold the stock or not yet sold,

one has already lost the money.

You are very right...

From .14 dropping to .04 is indeed 'koyak' (kaput) by any standard.

But that had not stopped me from betting at strategic levels...

I have entered and dumped a couple of times during the whole journey down.

Thus you can imagine the savings.

And mind you, no matter how positive one's thinking is,

a loss is a loss... it is a real loss,

It not 'paper' loss.. it is solid cash which is lost.  Smiley

Who does not know the world is changing very fast...anything new? If one said share price drop from 14cent to 4cent in one year is "koyah", and wait to buy at 2.5cent, when at this price is even more "koyah",   also nothing new, why? In stock market, there are always people who always want to wait for cheap,, cheaper and cheapest price....again nothing new lah..

1.  Rights money to clear loans that had effectively increased costs and offsetting profits in the past.  After the rights if funds are properly administered, it should allow shareholders to see profits when they are made to be more solid than the past. Previous profits were always eaten up by servicing loans and thence scared shareholders to dump the shares from average above 80 cents to below 8 cents which is about a drop of more than 90% from the high.

2.  Rights nicely priced to allow some holders to make some good money.  These people are mostly banks and institutions who are nominees of their own organizations or private investors or hedge funds. Thus a good job to gain favour from these investors who will keep the counter afloat.

3.. If the counter can continue to bring in projects, there will be potential to recover lost grounds and lost money.

4.  The recent contract is quite a sum approx SGD 100 million.  Profit margin should be the main study for this contract.

5.  Is management good and trustworthy in what they said and doing is of fundamental importance.  Hope they are of good status, meaning do the right thing and keep to their words. Then very good chance for linvestment.

These are my opinions and observations.  Don't trust me.  Do your own research and calculations.

My 2cent worth only: Both of you are right, short term and long term. These situations happen to many other companies when some people see certain opportunity and time window to make quick money, so they push and dump, at the same time, other people see long term prospects, so they buy and keep. Another people will take this upside opportunity from 4cent to 5.5cent/6/7cent to sell some holdings make quick profit and keep some shares for long term upside. As long as the money one put in is not your "bread and butter", one can sleep soundly at night. With all the available news and information, my gut feel : Biotreat is beginning to see the lights at the end of the tunnel.
