If this proposal is approved by shareholder in EGM , then they can cancel the 9079659 shares.
If not, one alternative is for them to dispose the 9 over million shares, but this BADLY whacked down share price, i dont think directos, company and shareholder want that to happen.
so, since u got the document, either attend and VOTE for the proposal, or send signed Proxy form, and VOTE for the proposal.

JPMorgan cuts tp for Hong Leong Asia to $2.33 from $5.50; reflects stock's de-rating following company's injection of its building materials arm into Malaysia's Tasek Corp in Apr. Notes Tasek's market cap expanded S$60 million since, while HL Asia's contracted $360 m; "it is clear where the market favors value in the deal." Cites transfer of HL Asia's key earnings growth driver to illiquid Malaysian entity as reason for stock's derating. Also lowers FY08, FY09 earnings forecasts to 11%, 18% respectively, but keeps Overweight call. "We believe strong growth is realizable when we look at HLA's dominant positioning in both the industrial and consumer sectors in S'pore and China, respectively."
Just as I expected, the result is good, the Q1 result, net profit jump 68%, while revenue jumps 34% to 1 Billion !
a lah... another "false sell down" ... it looks like Golden Agriculture ?! a big sell down to 0.92 before the result announced to be 100% increased in net profit.. so, what's next.. tomorrow going to cheong ?!

I am going into FA and TA, both.. FA is for me to determine which stock to buy, TA is to tell me when to buy at bargain price ... ( of course sometimes, i go wrong), but now, very likely, all my portfolio shot up, fantastic run !
It had dropped from 2.6 to 2.26 for no known negative news. Hopefully what you said is true that it will stage a strong rebound. Wait for the result today. The building material and china biz should be ok given the robust growth is china and robust construction sector in singapore.
