EGM over..looks like nobody query mgt of BJ about its price performance..understand that during EGM..directors normally don't entertain such queries ,,can only stick to agenda..ie on change of auditors ot they may be evasive to info affecting BJ's prices

Sales of welfare lottery hit 40b yuan in 2007 (Xinhua) Updated: 2007-09-09 16:26 Sales of China's Welfare Lottery, the only national lottery approved by the government, have exceeded 40 billion yuan (US$5.3 billion) this year, up 22.7 percent over the same period last year, according to the country's lottery watchdog. The lottery sales have also raised more than 13.7 billion yuan (US$1.8 billion) for the country's public welfare, said a spokesman with the China Welfare Lottery Management Center. Accounting for 77 percent of the total sales, computer-based lottery ticket is the favorite way of investment for China's lottery buyers, the spokesman said. The year 2007 marks the 20th anniversary of China's welfare industry.Vice Premier Hui Liangyu said at a ceremony in July that the welfare lottery industry had made great contributions to the nation's public welfare. The lottery has pooled a total of 242.3 billion yuan over the past two decades, of which 80.9 billion yuan was earmarked for national public welfare fund, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The ministry said the fund was mainly used for the development of social welfare facilities, education and health care for orphans, the elderly and the disabled. More than 10 million people have benefited from the fund, according to the ministry. China's lottery market has expanded quickly over the last two decades but the China Welfare Lottery Management Center still describes the market penetration of the lottery in China as low. In 2006, China's per capita lottery sale accounted for only 0.66 percent of the per capita net income, equivalent to only one to two percent of the world average.

Lottery in China is run by the government for welfare purposes.
In China, the central government has granted the rights to issue only two types of lottery: welfare lottery and sports lottery. The China Welfare Lottery Issuance Center(CWLC) was authorized to issue lottery since 1987 and the China Sports Lottery Administration Center(CSAC) since 1994. Other lotteries issued outside these two government bodies are illegal and are prohibited by the government.
From the total lottery proceeds, 50% goes to the prize pool, 35% to the social fund and 15% to lottery operations.

  China's Lottery Market: significant potential

According to international experience, lottery issuance of a country accounts for approximately 1% of its GDP. Based on data released by National Bureau of Statistics, China's GDP in 2004 reached RMB13.65 trillion, whereby lottery issuance in China has the potential to grow to RMB136.5 billion. In the meantime, China's total lottery sales in 2004 was only RMB38 billion, comprising merely 28% of the potential.
In 2004, with total sales of lottery in the world at US$184.1 billion, per capita lottery expenditure in the world was US$35.40 for a world population of 5.2 billion. By this proportion, the potential market of lottery in China can grow to US$46 billion(RMB 373.3 billion).

Whoever attending EGM can they ask this question. As a shareholder this is our fudamental right and must be answered clearly:
Who is running the show in Banjoo, who is the CEO or who is the one who calls the shot?
Executive Chairman resigned, Managing Director resigned, Secretary resigned, who is runnning this new expanded business of Banjoo? This business is going to derive income totally from China and not related with garment business, so WHO is the CEO or when is the new CEO to be appointed to replace the caretaker ED Ivan. The ship cannot operate without a Captain. Without an annouce captain the stock value will remain low.
