I will pick up some construction shares tomorrow , expecting negative sentiment after dow lost another 200 pts on friday.
Correction:
In the construction industry. revenue is recognised based on % of completion. Thus, most of LB's profit from porjects secured over the past 12 months have not recognised yet.
LB's full year profit up 91% to $3.5m despite slight fall in revenue. They had other income coming in elsewhere.

Further, they will be selling off the lost making business unit LB Energy (which lost $2.7m) to Manhanttan Resources.. This means the lost will not recur again, and they will soon have more funds to grow the core business.
LB is on the right track and next year profit would be really solid.
And I heard the JV for the casino would be announced very soon.... possibly this week!

The revision of development charges will only affect new devts that have not obtain provisional permit/licence. It only affect developers especially those who recently just bought new land/enbloc sales. Major developers already mentioned that it does not affect them much as reported in today's newspapers.
Lian Beng is involved mainly in construction etc and the development charge should not affect them.
