china has very huge surplus to tap on. The govt will not allow any falls . They will take any steps to prevent any mishap. Esp, when the lehman crsis, chinese leaders inject billions from the surplus to the economy. When it rises to a stage where danger of bubble, they insisted on tightening measures. They have the muscle, and most importantly 1 party govt. easily implement policies. As for vietnam, also i party, but country don have much surplus. and if there is a sudden withdrawal of funds, the country will in trouble. Even now, dong is not really " wanted" by their own people. They prefer to trade in US dollars. corruption is another huge problem. They are also slow in implementing policies, mainly due to corruption.

This will follow with equities and properties shooting up. You expect this will start in 2012 with the strongest charge in 2014-2015...sounds like Joseph Cycle...
Next bubble, in your opinion, will be around 2016 and beyond which is likely to be played out not in US or Europe but in new emerging economies within Indochina. But why not in China which is the world second largest economy and the bubble have been contained by the Central government for some time? It is definitely a pressure cooker waiting to explode beyond any private or public control especially when the Yuan get more internationalise and foreign contries holdings and policies are beyond China's control.
I still trust that Capland is a long term stock and during this period of recovery the management are building all their jewels in core locations within prime cities throughout the world. The management strategies is slow but effective over the long period. And execution of the strategies are undertaken by different susidiaries in order to stay more focus in their fields - developments, warehousing, shopping centres, service apartments, reits, etc.The structure of parent company and subsidiaries have more appeal to fund managers mandated to invest in diffrent sectors of the properties funds have varied investment options of Capland stable of companies.

My personal view. We are in the latest stage of crisis- when inflation begins to accerate. This sign is to indicate we are about to end the crisis, unless unexpected scene occurred. When interest rate rises in the US- shows that crisis has ended and bulls is in charge. crisis could not exist for more than 5 yrs- it will cause social problem to the world. Inflation will be tame only in the 2nd half, when yuan increase its value. When a bulls in charge- all stocks will shoots, regardless of their industry. Likewise, when crisis came, no industries are spared. Look at the bank prices, and u will know. Banks are the market bench mark. Be prepared to see trading range 3.08-3.55 level , and < 4.00 in a yr , the most. I may be wrong. I am not fortune teller or expert in TA. This is base in fundamental only. The NAv discount is 4.78 in 12 months time. (DBS)..My TP will be < 6.00 in 2013-2014 (bulls charge) . 2014-2015 is the best for stocks arund the world. 2011 is the balancing period. 2012 is the start of the bulls.....2016 and beyond- crisis will occur , not in US or europe. It will in Vietnam, and will spread to Thailand and the philippines. remember crisis always started when the banks suddenly stops lending - and cause " properties" burst. This time is no difference. To me, market will not" balance" at all time. SO, crisis will come, and go. Thats all. if one looks at it. its is normal to have crsis . so long the world don " END"

Peggy, one has to recognise the importance of trend because it reveals the direction of smart money.
Remember that trend is your friend and investing/ trading against it (by holding shorts on a bullish stock or holding long positions on a long term bearish stock) potentially brings about financial losses in quantitative terms. In relative terms, wrong investment decisions contributes to countless sleepless nights and prolonged periods of emotional distress ie. cursing which undermines one's quality of life and health.

in 2010. when kepland advances from 3.96-4.06 to 5.12 level in less than 3 months. This is becos of the marina district buidings completion.

ya. i agree. kepland also 1 of my favorites. kepland has been trading a dollar cheaper to capland, esp when it down to 0.97 compare to 1.80 (cpl) in april 2009. Kepland begins to take over cpl when
1) its investment in Marina district top- bears fruit.
2) cpl losses its shine , when china begins to control the property sectors.
3) Kepland invetment portfolio consist more business offices than residential, which is " hot" now.
But expect to see lower income , coming quarters results. Their landbank also diminishing, as they are more conservatives. They don have govt support. only from the keppel corps. Last time kepland is not included in STI , but now, not sure. anyway, i bought at a great price, below $4/-. makes a good kill.
