market is very, very good. ironic to be arguing in such a time. let's focus on it. enough for all, be you TA, FA or whatever. :)

going forward (as usual, just my opinion ah): i'm expecting market to be up for now til the results in aug. then likely a slight dip in sept/oct. perfect time to pick up undervalued counters then. keep for year end rally to likely abt june next year, time of beijing olympics.

i've actually cut out of more speculative counters (yeayea, live chicken, not dead tiger) and am parked a portion into defensive counters already. difficult, esp when i see the pennies and everything cheonging, but i guess, the first principle is to protect your investment. too risky for me currently.

as per usual, caveat emptor. just my opinions. :)

Perhaps I can put it in perspective. SJ is Keejang's house. We forumers visiting/posting on SJ are his guests. I think is rude of us to quarrel in the home of our guest.

My husband and I are familiar figures at the Bedok coffee shops (opposite the Bedok Stadium) -one older,  near botak man with whitehair ringed round the shiny bald patch accompanied by a younger woman (me) hahahahahaha. Not China woman leh. Do approach us if you happen to be there.

but yea. let's move on. c'mon ppl, i'm sure we can agree to disagree, isn't it? keep friendly, harmless and fun. :)

Based of your info, I have narrowed it down to picassa , as there seems to be no time or size limits. (Is this correct ? )

Before coming to a conclusion, perhaps someone familiar with flickr could help us with the merits and demerits of flickr ?

btw, slimsk, I have often experience the frustration of seeing my post disappear even as I press the post button.. this happens when I take some while to make the post...  I learnt that to prevent that, I take the precaution of making a copy & paste to a separate word doc so that when it disappears I dont have to re write the whole post....

hi all the 'jian bei', I was shocked when I read the threads and saddened with the development. it seems not too long ago there were noisy discussions and laughters in this forum and in this thread. But now seem so gloomy. I like lausk22's description 'jia bian'. So far I have learnt and benefited much from the stock analysis and discussions in this forum and most forumners are friendly. While sad, nevertheless, I echo chipchip and chinkiasu, life has to go on and I look forward to sunny days and sunshines?.    

 

Let's just hope that everyone will put behind them this unhappy episode and SJ can revert back to a friendly and enriching forum (in more ways that just in the $ sense)

Think it's about the 3rd time i'm typing this reply, but somehow didnt manage to complete and post it before accidently exiting and losing everything typed! Very sotong!!! Ok, i'll try again 1 last time.

I use Picasa cos it's free with my gmail a/c n it's 1 GB or roughly about 4000 photos. U can also invite pple to view your album by providing the link, they dont need to have or create gmail a/c.

Kodak's pretty good too and it's unlimited in size. Only restriction is the photos will be deleted 12 months after creation unless u purchase somthing from Kodak. In which case, your photos will be kept for another 12 months before deletion. Also your recipients will have to create an a/c  with Kodak b4 they can view your album.

As for flickr, dont know much abt it except that it has a 100MB limit on download per month. Hope it's useful to u.  In any case u'll have to try them to find out whcih one u prefer. Send me your email add and i'll send u invites to my albums which i've created using the different s/w.

 

hi choonhian...=) was browsing past the older posts..and saw tat u wanted to bring ur grandchildren out for some good food..i live ard the east side too..so here's my recommendation. =)

along upper changi road juz across kemangan mrt, there's a stall that sells very good mee sua + chinese food..so if u are looking to provide them some local delights...that place is very good..and cheap.juz no aircon though..and only serves dinner + supper...so if u are int...i can give u more detials..heh...juz 6-7 busstops from bedok interchnage too. =)

 

Hi everyone, i personally feel that being part of SJ is fun and the postings are done to express our views on the market and stocks. Sometimes our calls are good, sometimes bad. We learnt from postings on TA, FA and sometimes stuff not related to stocks. This is an avnue for all of us to come together and interact. Sometimes, there could be rude remarks or silly ones flying around but all this should stay as it is here and not brought out of it. New recruits could also help light up SJ in one way or another. I was also a newbie here and got to know lots of people here. I dont know if people judge my posts seriously but i have made more friends here than in any other stocks forums. Let's hope SJ will continue to be.. A place to interact, gossip and let out steam... Cheers!

agreed absolutely, it is an unpleasant episode which had cast a dark cloud over the Fellowship . I am indeed sadden, that things has taken such a turn.. but we should not let these negative things dominate the SJ forums and in particular the fellowship thread... there are other forumers too and many have contributed good posts and will continue to contribute, yes we should move on....

 

Let us remember that this is a free forum so we should observe the rules here and treat one another with respect and dignity - like how we would treat one another if we meet face to face.
