(doing advertising for TP again, hahaha)

elfin, was busying the whole day and when u called, you should had saw a "waiting" on your hp rite? was on the line and hp batt very low bt still had to wait for an important call, so hence, no reply.. i angry?? for wat? i got nothing to be angry at ar....

lookseeonly, of coz i "harmless" la... bt sometimes jokes can be "harmful" at times too.. nice to have your "kind" comments if you had meant it to be..

choohian, thanks and next time i better keep my "harmless jokes" to you only, lol.. bt you no prata hor, wait ar u change ur minds and felt my jokes to be harmful, then i mop-floor (MATI) again, lol..

ed88ks, you drove/owned BMW 1 issit?? anyway, that not important. impt is gained something from this "saga" which is trust and street-smarter.. huh? wanna play again?? u wanna play wat with me?? dun play too "big" hor as i poor 1...

simply put, was not "fully aware" of this whole saga with a full apprenhension of who who in it and the "emotions involved".. just wanna move on from here but will be posting lesser la due to work constraints... currently still can see postings 3/4 of the time (thanks to my ultra slim laptop, how lian rogue at work again, lol) bt in future, tink can only see posts/hot tips some time and can't post dat often ba, i think.. lol..

*damn* lost my 3 paragraphs post. Got to do it again and pardon me for the language.

Fortunegal and Fairygal,

Glad that you both like the cakes. They don't just look great on the web but tasted great too! I personally have ordered and tried the simply Decadence Chocolate and Blackforest cake. They were simply yummy. I can attest to that. Though she is my friend, I didn't get any discount but I don't blame her because I know she holds very high standard and uses the best ingredients such as the really good grade dark chocolate. Don't know the technical terms cos' I don't bake.

I hesitated if I should post the link because I didn't want anyone to say I am advertising for something. Did it anyway because Fortunegal mentioned starting a home biz. I thought what my friend has served as a good reference. Simple but elegant website with really good cake to back up those beautiful pictures. i.e. got liao. Customers become repeat customers and they also helped spread the news. Hmm, word of mouth is rather powerful.

So, use quality ingredients. Two, concentrate on your strength by limiting the choice of cakes. Besides, reaching a wide customer base is important because everyone celebrates birthday only once a year. In fact most adults couldn't be bothered.

Fortunegal, wishing you a good start (eventhough it is only a dream/thought). I will be your customer, to give support lah! Maybe a little discount the first time?

fortunegal,

a friend of mine operates a successful home baking biz. Her 'secret' is offering a few choices, only cakes that she is really good at. You may want to take a look at her webpage. (not an advertisement here) Yummy cake.. http://www.decadencecakes.sg/specialties.html

RT,

Sorry, never read a book on FA. All self taught and through expensive tuition fees (lose $$$ on the market fees). Don't even know if there are any such books.

In fact, since coming onto SJ about 1 year ago, I have collected some TA books.....still trying to figure out the intricacies of interpreting those lines, dots, waves and so called 'candle sticks'.

Anyway, have a good trip.........perhaps a Warran Buffet book may help.

woa Fairygal... Machu Picchu..!!!. the Lost City of the Incas...voted recently one of the seven wonders of the world...   yes I would also love to go there....  I think first get to Lima, Peru

according to Wikipedia....

All visits to Machu Picchu at some point leave from Cusco, which can be reached via a domestic flight from Lima. Taking the tourist train from Cusco (which takes 3.5 hours to get to Machu Picchu), you have several options.

The most common way is to take the train to Machu Picchu in the morning, explore the ruins for a few hours and return to Cusco in the afternoon. The train terminates at Puente Ruinas station, where buses take tourists up the mountain to Machu Picchu. Strangely, Machu Picchu station is at Aguas Calientes (2km before Puente Ruinas station) but is not the station used by tourists on a day trip.

Another option is to hike the Inca Trail, on either a four-day or two-day version, both of which are controlled by the government. They require travelers to be reasonably fit. The trip takes a few days, and involves sleeping in tents.

Another option is to stay overnight near the ruins themselves, rather than return on the same day. There are many hotels at nearby Aguas Calientes , but only one hotel at Machu Picchu itself. Buses run from Aguas Calientes to the ruins throughout the day, an 8 km ride up the mountain (approximately one and a half hours by walking).

A helicopter service from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, via a 24 passenger Russian Mi-8 helicopter, is also available. Helicopter flights direct into Machu Picchu stopped in the 1970s due to concern about their damage to the ruins.
