OMG! heard about the danger of virtual world but now witnessing one.....a sound like some espionage or Matrix Reloaded?? this is the 2^nd online forum I been to besides cna and notice the open and friendly ambience and elfin's warm greetings. In fact quite surprise to see ladies dare to use feminine nicks like singaporegal, fortunegal and Fairygal etc. In the other forum it is not easy to distinguish the genders as most of us would use neutral nicks to protect from unnecessary attention and even fewer guys would use their real names, I guess is really necessary for identity protection purpose. so much about nicks ;p

 

Am sourcing for an ultra slim notebook, any recommendation? rougue_trader, what's your model of ultra slim laptop? you seems happy with it...

Have been busy for a couple of days. I am frankly quite shocked about what happened recently and really saddened. Anyway, let us chase away all the bad vibes, forget about this incident and concentrate on the stock market!

btw, re two nicks, the only one I know so far is manikamaniko ( $come$go) was formerly Ipunter.. he said he wanted to start as "member" as reason for the change....

hi fortunegal.. (& eastonbay), i had often experience such "disappearance"..particularly when the post takes a long time. so to prevent myself the frustration of having to redo/compose all over again, I nowadays quickly copy and paste to a word doc... 

 

EastonBay, same here.. i remember i posted but i can't see my msg now... that is weird...i dont even remember seeing error msg. anyway, I only say say only on the home biz... cos i haven't acquired the baking cake skills like your friend ( i only know bake cookies). i still love cakes though....n now i know... i got a excuse to get my bf to buy a bday cake from ur friend's site when my bday comes...thanks....!  :o)

One important thing I learnt from the recent episode is the danger of getting sued for something one did not say directly but indirectly in way of support for the offending party...... something like the term invented during the Iraq war .... collateral offence and collateral damage...

HGM: can sell already. third day of breakout was yesterday. shd be abt 5c profit for you? time to lock in.

consider outing all speculatives soon. esp if you have no time to monitor.

elfie has moved part of her funds into safer counters for now, as a hedge. waiting for a last, risky one (SMB) to run, likely in aug. then will lock that in too.

additionally, have also id-ed my own strategy for 4Q of year play. am not going to go for just momentum/growth plays, but a mix of value and growth, across industries for some security. 3 counters for growth, a further 1 or 2 as hedge (as above). will update as appropriate. one of vic's kantangs is in my list. hehe. no more speculative trading; too risky for now, esp cos i got no time to watch.

and Ms Elfinchilde... you have highlighted HG metal and I have bot, and still holding to it.... so lets all look at the good things.  Middle Earth, particularly Rivendale would never be the same without the Resident Elf...   .and I will always remember the elf that awards the green badges, may you honor me to accept here   and some  (i remembered she likes white iris?)  from me in appreciation of the merriment that you have bought to us... and pls do tarry around..
