I did encounter problem during last night reading and i thought i was barred from SJ.

 

Hi all, got a question to ask you guys/gals.. is there some "server problem" for yesterday night?? Thanks in advance..

 

yes Chinchye sir... we are sort of related by the chin...chinchye however means everything can, and chinkiasu means everything must win... in that sense we are opposite... but actually I am quite chinchye.. and have to name myself kiasu to remind me of my Singapore roots..

and my dear Shi2san1yee, auntie bunnie!!!  pls give some tips on your stock choices to your uncle leh..

will there be a market correction??

hi everyone, sad to realise the truth, but then no point dwelling on things. i guess many forumeers incld myself would like to see this topic 'settled and buried', instead of going on and on, and talking about it.

sometimes, the more a topic is discussed or talked about, the more negative feelings are/can be generated. so, since we now know the truth, let's just move on. alrighty?

thks Fairygal, tanglinboy, EastonBay and RT for the infor, saw the ad on the new Fujitsu Lifebook U1010, thot quite mobile. shall go Funan centre and take a look and have a feel. I know there's a computer show coming up in august, maybe shall also see what's on offer then. didnt know Fujitsu's warranty is 3 yrs.....

This is not the first time i came across a forum where the user uses two different nicks. in the other forum, they are in the heat of aruging some topic. The same person came in with a different nick to add in 'salt n sugar'. it was immediately tracked down by the administrator as it was same IP address. The admin gave a serious warning immediately. And they even have a lock on the thread if things get "messy"....which i find this should be improved in SJ. like simonloh thread, everyone is keep requesting me to add in their emails non stop for mailing of ebooks....which i dont understand why...in the first place, i never say i want to organise any ebooks mailing list cos in the first place,i dont have any ebooks to send... I keep adding repeatedly non day for many many days.....new member came in everyday...nearly go 'crazy' doing it repeatedly. anyway sorry i go out of the topic...

and i was also shocked by the whole event......nearly couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the apologise letter. anyway, as it was mentioned by shplayer, enough of this subject.....let's move on and back to stocks. lastly, as usual, peace on everyone.

 

esmiley, my personal laptop was a 3 years old fujitsu tablet (12.1 inch if i not wrong).. not exactly "ultra-slim" for delicate person.. bt for monster sized me, it "fits" perfectly into my hold.. company going to issue/give (hopefully give) either a samsung or a toshiba (cannot recall the models bt "slim" 1.. think dat toshiba come with "anti-shock")..

woa shplayer... I am impressed with your appropriate use of ze SJ icons... from experience, i know  it does take effort...  particularly when SJ web can shut down on you and you may have to repost...

 

Dell computers are the best. I have an XPS and its really cool. Slightly more expensive than the other models but I have no regrets.

I am surprised you asked if I only use one nick.

Whilst I am in a situation where my time is my own (i.e. I can choose what I want to do), I certainly have enough and better things to do than to create mischief under the guise of multiple nicks.

As I said in another thread, I use a nick primarily for privacy and nothing else.

OK, enough of this subject...lets get back to focus on the primary purpose why we are on this forum of SJ.

Hello! Understand you sourcing for a slim laptop. here's something for you to take note:-

1) Go look around, eg at Funan.  Then have some idea the model you want based on features, price and physical appearance based on your needs and wants

2) Go home to google for the brand and model for reviews .  You will get an idea of the pros and cons of the particular model you have in mind

3) Make a decision, and atst, look for bargains like free upgrades or in-house gifts

Take note, small may look good and easy mobility, but font may be too small for comfort, not unless you are younger.....with good eyesight.

Battery life is one big consideration.

Hope the above helps. Oh yes, Fujitsu is 3 years warranty....most others one year unless you pay extra.  Check it out!
