Think they will implement QE2. and now it's time for me to buy on dip as short term, genting has a good prospect. Let's hope LVS will start the ball rolling!

Right now, nobody knows exactly what is going to happen. Not even the G20 ministers who just had their first meeting. Too much QE2 and governments will take action? Too little QE2 and there will be no boost to stock markets? So instead of guessing whether the market is going up or down, investors decided to take profit and stay sidelines. It was a good excuse to take profits anyway. To buy, we need plenty of good reasons. To sell and take profits, no reason is needed. QE2 will be announced next week Wednesday. Expect a very volatile market next week Thursday. From now till next Wednesday, most investors will stay sidelines. I will be keeping a close watch on LVS tonight. Good results tonight will imply good results for GenSp given GenSp is still a market leader in Singapore in the gaming business. Whatever it is, be prepared to buy fast and sell fast. This is a trader's market now, newbies advised to stay out, those who are not careful will get burnt. I may not be able to trade and post in forum at the same time tomorrow. So trade safe guys!

So prices fell today because: a. too much QE2, frightened of govt intervention to prevent asset bubbles and inflation in the country. b. a small QE2 means less money coming in. Hence looking at it qualitatively, there will be less govt intervention, stock prices should maintain its value, in tandem with the company's growth. It's another big plus for those who shorted and then re-accumulated their positions towards the end-of-day. Correct me please. |

they still giving out 2trillion, just that they break it up into smaller packages over a period of time. this way, it will not cause a jerk on the knee response to the world economy. that is to my understanding.
so probably, gov will not take such a firm stand on banning capital influx and this will benefit the economy growth.
ok my knowledge until here only, someone pls add on or correct me XD haha
BT has stop loss functions that are provided by his brokerage. not all brokerage provide for free, POEM provide but need to pay. BT using CFD, and they provide for free cause of the risky nature of the derivaitive.
normal online brokerage, can only Q buy at lower price, Qsell at higher price. but with stop loss functions, can Q sell at lower price, Q buy at higher price. reason being to auto sell in a down trend, and auto buy in a uptrend
BT u mean u have a special tools...so when u key in that price and if triggered, it will automatic sell away for u??? Just like the buying Queue like that is it. In this case this is selling Queue??

Going back to the price action of GSP, do you guys think that the steep drop is caused by the uncertainty of QE2 effects once implemented? |

Yes. A few questions remain. How big will the QE2 package be? How much of it will flow into Singapore? Will Singapore implement policies to limit capital inflows? Will Singapore raise interest rates to curb inflation?
Just trade with all these in mind. Traders will be happy to take profit fast and quick for the rest of this week.

Right now my strategy is this, I will use MF Global to buy and sell, coz of low commission. And I will use Ig Markets Intraday candlesticks charting software, which is much better. So I get the best of both worlds
