Market bounce unsurprising after yesterday’s 1.2% fall in anticipation of a smaller-than-anticipated Fed action next week; after that, going into mid-November, DBS Vickers strategist Yeo Kee Yan says “market activity is likely to quieten down, and remain quiet until at least end-December/early next year.”

I can identify with you Abit-loss. My broker also the same. Infact, if u were to speak to most people in this industry, G13, is never their cup of tea except ppl in this forum. Honestly, don't understand why?
Since following this thread, i am more adamant in insisting i want to buy cos previously when my broker commented, i wavered.
Yesterday, want to buy at 2.10, he also advised not, in the end got it at 2.11 n sold at 2.18 this morning
Perhaps, its high time we look into online trading like the rest of the members

STI up 0.3% at 3134.29 with 2 gainers for every decliner; volume spikes to 1.12 billion shares so far, though most of that accounted for by penny stock Top Global (519.SG), +200% at $0.015 with 460 million shares traded with orderbook suggesting married deal at $0.010. Market bounce unsurprising after yesterday’s 1.2% fall in anticipation of a smaller-than-anticipated Fed action next week; after that, going into mid-November, DBS Vickers strategist Yeo Kee Yan says “market activity is likely to quieten down, and remain quiet until at least end-December/early next year.” Says though undertone positive, with expectations for increased liquidity if Fed’s QE goes through, “I don’t think the upside will last until December.” Among gainers, China XLX Fertiliser (B9R.SG) +1.7% at $0.59 after reporting solid 3Q results, Genting Singapore (G13.SG) +1.9% at $2.17 after yesterday’s 4.1% fall, SGX (S68.SG) +1.0% at $8.93. Index in tight 5-point band so far, unlikely to test yesterday’s extremities of 3119-3180. |

Singapore’s Straits Times Index climbed 0.4% to 3,135.41 as of 9:20 a.m. local time. Three stocks rose for each that fell on the 30-member gauge. Shares on the measure trade at an average 15.3 times estimated earnings, compared with about 17.4 times at the beginning of the year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The following shares were among the most active in the market. The company said it had a first-quarter loss of US$3.6 million ($4.69 million) compared with a loss of US$1.04 million a year earlier. Genting Singapore Plc (GENS SP), owner of one of two casino resorts in the city-state, climbed 2.4% to $2.18 after its rival Las Vegas Sands Corp. reported third-quarter earnings that topped analysts’ estimates as “outstanding results” at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore helped boost profit margins. I'm not guru lo... I'm super noobie.
I just like to buy when the stocks dropped a lot people throw I help them catch. Then sell when it goes up. Basic survival instinct when you don't have skill.

Hard to teach you everything about risk management, proper trading, and various trading strategies for short-term, mid-term, long-term investors/traders, and for those on cash and margin.
So many strategies to choose from. Hard for me to teach in forum. Come for course and I will show you everything yes?
Now better concentrate on trading for the moment. As you can see, hit the 2.20 resistance and bounced lower.
