Despite the fact of stake reduction, please remember cruel oil is non-renewable energy and it definately can't replaced by new energy totally. From FA and TA, it is a good counters and cash rich counters. SPC business covers from upstream to down stream, thus current price is rather attractive! Unless you believe oil price will back to few dollar!!

Of course, I am more than happy if somoby can short it below $2 and even $1.

Not necessary. He might need the money for his personal reason. If most directors, especially those who have large holdings, are liquidating, then it is worrying.

Tks for d advisice. Lately, AK had unloaded half of my holding. Anticipating your comment, means it will dip further. So, is it wise to clear all AK remainder holding? BTW, consult, wats your attractive px? For ref.

about fully reflected its value. No reasons it can further surge. Be careful as it is one of highly volatile counters. To me, the current price not attractive!

For the crash, I was referring to the STI dropping sharply soon, maybe around April and May 2009. After which I think financial markets can start its slow and long climb back up.

I do think SPC can still go up but I am not sure if it is sustainable. Namely, the price is going up on thin volume. Furthermore, it really seems that people are turning to SPC because there really isn't much "stories" to play on. As I have mentioned my earlier post, the story to be played upon is whether OPEC will cut its production and this is due March 15.

One main question really I feel havent answered is, even if there is going to be a recovery, will we see a return of share prices to that of Oct 2007?

Due to the dividends payout, this oil babe is holding very well, still on track to its bullish trend, despite very weak market conditions. Perhaps low oil price benefits SPC?

only "green" counter today. STI closing slightly lower than 1600.

I see a bottom coming soon and painful, April-May 2009. But the landing will be very painful. Keep cash stay off equities for the moment. Do research now or play senseless video games or sodukoif you want to trade.

In SPC especially at this point of time hanging around the bottom,it's good to take profit once your target is achieved. It's even better than playing jackpot where you got only 30% or less chance of winning.I will assume it's now 70% chance of winning since oil price is at app.$40/b.If price drift lower, will buy back & wait as the % of winning is higher.

hahaha... TA or fundamentals is immaterial...

What's impotartant is this...

'investors' are holders, through thick and thin, regardless of profit or loss...

but traders are opportunists who take advantage of money-making opportunities...  Smiley

(at this very moment, many investors are emotionally depressed!)

which means to say...

Playing stocks is all betting, whichever method one uses (charts or  fundamentals analysis).

Since the best stocks of even the strongest companies can cause you to lose a fortune, though many stubbornly refuse to admit they have lost, even after their superstrong company's share price is down by half for no 'fundamental' reason.... Smiley
