Wow, there are really many ppl benefitting from richtan's posting and TA analysis. I will be still on the receiving end for this forum as i just started out trading not long ago. So i am sry if i cant contribute much to this forum. I am not rushing and am taking my time to learn things in the stock market. I started trading because i see this recession as a chance for me to buy stocks at a low price. Even though i might lose money in short term, my belief is that if i hold long enough until recession ends, i can make some profit out of it. I believe the price i bought these shares including china hongxing are at a much lower price compared previously before the recession soI tell myself not to fret when i lose money and i tell myself to be patient and wait for long term.I tried not to let my emotions rule over me haha.
On the quiet side I have been reading richtan postings and I do agree with many of you that he has contributed very positively with his TA and his advise are always very guiding. He unreservedly shares his research and experiences. There are definitely some traders who have read his postings and took an untimely period to enter the market beyond their risks appetite such that they have to cut losses. Scapegoats had to be found by little people, unfortunately. I would have preferred to learn from experiences and blame on myself if I make wrong decisions; which at times everyone including myself do. However, I am very thankful that there are people lke richtan around.

hi richtan, thank u so much for your invaluable advice! much appreciated. Morale has been rather low for the past few days but i understand what you mean. Trading is a life-long art and i know this is just the beginning of my journey. Will learn from mistakes and pick up TA and trading knowledge day by day and also remember the 2 mantras by heart and execute them properly. Hope to learn more from you and the rest of the kind forumers along this journey. Cheers!

Thanks weishen, I m touched n gratified by u n all forumers tat express their appreciation to me.
Do not be put off by the losses, I had been there too n even now n then still need to cut-loss as no one can claim tat they are perfect n make money on every trade, whoever tells u tat, are lying thru their nose n best to not believe them n their calls.
TA is not infallible, so the key to making money is, remember the mantra: "Cut losses short n let profit runs with trailing stops", we need to let profit run as much as we can to cover for all the losses, so when in profit, do not to too eager to lock in profits till u see reversal sign (eg candles, need to learn how to spot reversal candles, support, resistance, ma, lowerhighs n lower lows, etc).
Do not be too eager n rush into n chase a trade till u can rationally convinced yourself thru your TA analysis but again remember it is not infallible so set stop loss n execute the cut-loss if hit, dun get emotional n hold onto your losses, preserve your ammunition to fight another day, remember the 2nd mantra: "Plan your trade n trade your plan". At all times, remember by heart these 2 important mantras. |

The willingness to share already deserves a big applause! Even though i got burnt during the recent fast-and furious selldown of CHHX... Painful but its one great lesson learnt. Will continue to brush up on physchology and trading skills. cheers!

Oh yah, weishen, since u are an army guy, I shall use the analogy of "debrief".
In military exercise, after the excercise is over, there is always a "debrief" to review all the mistakes made, likewise, in trading do a "debrief (ie. review), pull out the chart n see wat u could have done wrong (but b4 tat, u need to be well-versed by reading up TA, otherwise, u dun even realise wat is the mistake) n learn from tat lesson.
Alas, trading is also another lifelong learning process. |

China Hongx is currently very hot favourite in this market , it is surging quite fast toward its neckline of the inverted head n shoulder pattern , normally it will pull back to form the right shoulder before going further . Bollinger band is at 21 cents , and we must beware if it reaches 22.5 cents which was the recent high with very large volume .This is also the target price which the analyst had predicted . 21 day RSI both daily n weekly is not at overbought position , that means it is not going to explode in the near term .

richtan has been doing the TA for us on China hongxing and i really appreciated it. Though TA may not be right all the time but it is some solid analysis still. I really don't understand why some people would want to pick on him when he did so much analysis for us. Sometimes i really wonder if anfield and newtothis are the same person (i am really new to this as i just signed up today but i have been following this forum since start of the year).
newtothis tend to make his stand without supporting his point in details. He mentioned that commodity stock should be avoided hence china hongxing, straits asia and indo agri should not be considered but why? Why only these 3 out of other commodity stocks? Also, then why not golden agri be in the list too? There shouldn't be some underlying reasons for you to make such deduction, shouldn't it? Some of his post sound too over-confident as if he dictates the stock market which i really need to read and think carefully myself after reading his post. |

Kudos!! keep it up.
This is the type of factual posting, posting tat add-value to the forum tat I m sure all forumers love to read, be it news, TA or FA but not those un-substantiated wild vague calls n those emotional posting tat instigate fear, greed n rumour-mongering with insidous objectives which degrades this forum.
Lets elevate this forum to be the best stock mkt forum whereby everyone contributes responsibly to the mutual good of everyone n not just selfish pursuits.

DJ MARKET TALK: China Hongxing +5.9%; Chartist Tips More Upside
26 June 2009 14:12
0612 GMT [Dow Jones] China Hongxing Sports (BR9.SG) heads higher, most actively traded stock on Singapore Exchange as investors continue to bet on improving market conditions; shares +5.9% at S$0.18, now +33% over 3 sessions. Sentiment getting boost from Deutsche Bank upgrade to Buy earlier in week, with broker saying China's sportswear industry was showing signs of picking up, noting sportswear firm's same-store sales rebounded in May. OCBC Investment Research technical analyst Philip Teo meanwhile, says stock's positive breakout at key resistance suggests further upside; "China Hongxing could be poised for more gains in the days ahead after breaking above the S$0.155 key support-turned-resistance level convincingly on heavy volume yesterday." Says initial resistance is at S$0.185, which is a support-turned-resistance level and 200-day moving average, with next resistance at S$0.225, based on May 2009 high and 3-month uptrend line. (KIG)

interesting game between the BBs funny thing is this group of BBs are in the same boat.
From OCBC:
China Hongxing
Positive breakout at key resistance suggests further upside
-China Hongxing could be poised for more gains in the days ahead after
breaking above the $0.155 key support-turned-resistance level convincingly
on heavy volume yesterday.
- With both the RSI and Stochastic indicators rebounding sharply out of
their oversold regions yesterday, coupled with the MACD signaling a likely
bullish crossover soon, they seem to suggest that the bullish momentum
could be building up again.
-Should the breakout be confirmed (i.e. staying above S$0.155), the initial
resistance is at $0.185 (support-turned-resistance level and 200-day MA),
breaking which, we see the next resistance at $0.225 (May ’09 high and 3month
uptrend line).
-Below S$0.155, the next support is pegged at $0.12 (Jun ’09 low), ahead
of $0.085 (minor troughs in Mar ‘09).
Viewing the trade summary is just one of the tool but must also see how it fits into the overall perspective, is it a real selldown or correction or consolidation after looking at the chart n doing own anlysis but of course, I repeat again, charts anlysis is not infallible as no tools is guaranteed.

Do not trust wat u see, those buy n sell queues are most often times fake queue, dun believe, spend some time n observe, it can suddenly increase n likewise also can suddenly pulled out to create false impression to either create fear or greed, to do their "block" n "thrust"

Sell down vol is very high today. Do we see it as good as there are many buyers queueing to buy or see it as bad as there are many sell downs? Is it hitting a wall and falling back soon or is it still drilling through the wall and will penetrate later. |

Noticed from the "Trade Summary" tat most trades are concentrated at 17.5

LAST DONE PRICE : 0.175 |

U can use UOBKH which provides free chartNexus ("Interactive Chart"), "Trade Summary" n "Time n Sales", just right mouse click on any stock for the quick menu.
U have to experiment n try out the various ma n ema and select ideally 3, a short-term a mid-term n a long-term ma.
My prefernce is 15ema (short-term) , 25ema (mid-term) n 65ema or 100ema or 200ema (long-term)

Hi blueprintmedia00,
I m gratified tat u too appreciate my TA sharing.
If u are keen to learn TA, do a search under my username, whereby I had recommended quite a few good books n TA "Free Tutorial on TA, candlestick n Elliot Waves" websites.
In a nutshell ma is used to see the trend (but lagging indicator) n support n resistance, a more leading indicator is the analysis of the candles (but must learn how to interpret the candlestickbut again nothing is infallible, remember set-stop loss is crucial. Plan your trade n trade your plan

Yes, I agreed with naka88. richtan has been showing his TA & is definitely very informative. Although I know little about TA at this moment and picking up, what richtan had posted is very helpful for newbie like me. Btw, anyone can share how to use Moving Average or other important Indicators? I’m just downloaded the free ChartNexus and not sure which are the basic one.
Also, can anyone advise which electronic trading platform to use? I’m using POEMS and I that the buy / sell transactions fee is a bit high.
