Aussie dollar will soften further.Cos the reserve bank is going to cut more interest rate.
NZD will track A$.
I am thinking of buying AUD to place Fixed deposit, because the rate is 0.9984 today below S$1 and May bank is paying 6.1% for six month deposit, my question-Is this rate good? will it be drop further in the next future ?
Need your expert advise!!
Thank you
Lin

its no small feat .. that cashiertan made it to the 'millionaire's club' ... Salute !
its all pure hard work and guts !
see, how the Mr.Market works ... !
hope I remember this episode .. !
(meaning of feat : a noteworthy or extraordinary act or achievement, usually displaying boldness, skill, etc.)

caveat emptor -- not an inducement -- chart by novice -- for educational and entertainment purposes ..
tuesday night made 131 pips
wednesday : no trade (actually was eyeing the head and shoulders , but didn't get to the computer when the drop happened)
today lost 143pips
what happened : ... was confident it will break support 100.40 and fall back into channel ...but went opposite direction .. laxed on usual stop loss ..... was willing to play dare-devil because of the earlier 'bonus' gain of 131 ... got a bit nervous of positive chatter in the market ... positive futures/dow .... so cut - loss
after cut-loss it has the cheek to drop to 100.19 !
well ....... Mr.Market is the Master and the Commader ..... : )

caveat emptor -- for educational and entertainment purposes --- past not equal not future

baseerahmed,
Mock trading using demo account is one free step (and definitely the first and a must step) to test one's trading skill and learn one's personality and emotions pertaining to trading.
But please note that when it comes to trading with real money, the emotions can be extremely different.
hi baseer,
I think that it's important for novice to 'talk' about their performance.. why they did what they did and how they felt about it. i think it's part of managing their trade. I used to think that it's about techniques.. but beginners have a lot more to deal with.. techniques (which will take a long time) and more importantly, their emotions.. i wish i had discover this earlier and have not suffered such a huge loss.. but then again, i guess it's part of the learning process... recognising where and why you've gone wrong and then move on.
thanks for all the pointers :) will read through this thread more thoroughly when i have time. it's actually very demanding to learn while working full time but i am determind to do so. let's learn together :)

just sharing an insight :
i suppose, this is precisely why we must practise on the demo-account for some period of time ..
..while testing out our techniques and strategies , we are also testing out/stretching the limits of our emotions and personalities ..
maybe after going through this simulations hope we could attain Zen like quality when stepping into the real battlefield ...

Good to hear that you are making paper profit.
From my observation, your are getting emotional now, beware of being taken over by your emotion. Stay focused on your strategy!
Good luck.
