Fujio Masuoka, the inventor of Flash memory, is poised for the next big leap forward with Singapore's help.
The global Flash memory market was worth US$21.8 billion last year; this year, it's expected to be worth US$22.1 billion. By 2011, the market is expected to grow to US$27.5 billion.
Professor Masuoka is confident that within the next 10 years Flash memory will replace hard disks as the primary memory storage device in computers.
He feels once his company and IME (Singapore) commercialise the Surrounding Gate Transistor (SGT) technology, Flash memory will become cheaper with bigger capacity
He adds," Every 20 years, new technology comes along. Current DRAM technology is saturated but new technology, like the SGT innovation, will take the industry forward."
This one will have great difficulty reaching $1 again in the current crap market conditions

might plunge further if it close below $0.795...can buy if it goes up and close at $0.855...quite tempted to buy at current stage as some of my technical signals are telling me to do so...however the current market sentiment is so damnz...can't confirm anything concrete
