Mapletree Investments has hired Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE), Citigroup (C.N), DBS (DBSM.SI) Goldman Sachs (GS.N) to handle the US$1 billion ($1.3 billion) initial public offering of Mapletree Commercial Trust, IFR Asia reported on Friday.

The offering will be launched early next year.
 
The plans come after the property firm’s unit Mapletree Industrial Trust (MAPI.SI) raised US$720 million in an IPO, which was among a string of successful public offerings of property assets in Asia recently. 
 
A spokesman for Mapletree Investments, which is a unit of state investor Temasek, declined to comment.

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. (O39.SG) 3Q net profit likely +21.9% on-year at $548.7 million, says Dow Jones Newswires poll of 6 analysts.

Loan growth will be key for investors, especially in small-to-medium enterprise sector also, progress on state of private bank. Expect net-interest income to continue to be weak so trading and fee income will need to account for likely mortgage earnings shortfall. 

“OCBC’s corporate and small-to-medium enterprise loans are likely to benefit from the pickup in system lending reported to August, and it is still too early to see a significant slowdown in mortgage volumes as a result of recent government measures to cool the housing market,” says Morgan Stanley. Singapore visitor arrivals in September dip from August

Visitor arrivals to Singapore in September dipped from August despite the city-state hosting the Formula One Grand Prix in the month.

The city-state’s tourism authority said on Friday that tourist arrivals in September totalled 947,000, down from 996,000 in August.
 
But the September figure was 18.4% above the number of arrivals in September 2009, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said in a statement.
 
Visitor arrivals in July jumped 24.1% to 1.1 million — a record high.
 
Indonesia contributed the largest number of visitors with 244,000 in September, while South Korea was the fastest-growing market for Singapore’s tourism industry, with visitor arrivals jumping 63% 26,000.
 
STB’s figures do not include the thousands who cross over from Malaysia daily by land.
 
STB said average occupancy rate at Singapore hotels in September was 82% compared to 85% in August and 77% in September 2009.

As long as today closes above 2.16, the bullish pigeon pattern will be confirmed.

It will be even better if it closes at 2.19 or 2.20. Then I would consider adding position.

haha yes, how is trading today?

Quiet day, low volume as well. Most investors/traders sidelines till Wednesday announcement of QE2.

I only have a small position on GenSp at the moment.
