STI tech reading: ~3505 is your support level; be careful of a break below that. resistance at 3690. your first warning bell is 3540.
watch for sustained action to determine trend, not flip flops up and down. that just means nervy market dancing.
fyi, just my opinion ah.
oh yah. i had forgotten abt StA. techs changed for it: broke lower of the W formation on 12th jul. appears to be headed downwards now; means the peak on 1.68 was likely it for that period of time.
techies pls note: with today's effect, your charts change. macro-trend at work. old targets no longer hold. need to recalibrate everything. esp the prop stocks, not just in terms of fundamentals, more in terms of momentum (ie, sentiment).
actually, asterisk, they can drop it in half a day if they want to. just dump lor. sell down the quotes. dun forget oct 1987, oct 1929 crashes occurred in one day.
but anw, let's not have doomsday talk lah. it'll only breed irrational fear. watch the dow and see.

yes, SPC is really a great defensive stock...my coffin money intact (..

thanks Mani... btw, did your manikam... or to quote Asterisk... Mani kooooooooooo?
thanks elf... that puppy was for RT, and actually I was hoping you would see it too... it was also meant for you... glad you read it... despite the sea of red .. the day is good becos you are back with us.... stay around... at least to award some green badges....
aiyoh.. Asterisk.. lao hor is my inspiration man... like Li Pai, and drunken swordsman.. the more I tank, the more creative (this statement is highly subjective) I get...
for now I need to do some reviewing of ze stocks.. this is an opportunity that we could exploit... "there is a tide in the events of man, when taken leads to fortune...." good to know you are collecting the pieces... all there... ? I share in your hope for the Phoenix to rise again..
cks, I see. Mmmm, come to think about it, I've never ordered beer in a kopitiam before. Never crossed my mind before. Maybe I can try. But please not in the morning.
Elf: now you know you are sorely missed by many forumers. Hey hey... 13 days more to find the answer of the St Asia bet..
been busy with wk lah...
haha, asterisk, if you don't want nickyng to short your counters, simple, don't post them out. :P
haha. but really, if what you are holding are solid counters, then you shd have no worries. can instead look to add in positions. dun decide anything yet tho: watch the dow tonight for direction. if you're not in a prop play, and if you have enough nerves (assuming you're in vic's kantangs, at low px), hold through whatever correction to reporting season in august. cos the fact is, fundamentals have not changed. the dip is in fact your chance to get in position.
be careful if you're holding speculative stocks tho. the PE ratio is your guide to adding, or cutting.
if unsure, standard method: half and half. ie, cut half keep half.
don't listen too much to doomsday sayers, or cheerleaders. cut out white noise and listen to yourself. :)
btw cks, like that puppy pic you posted up some days ago: the two guys petting the doggie one. hehe. :)
ok, going off work. long day today. sigh.
Nice little dog...

aiyoh... welcome Elfinchilde.. !!! glad to see you...

it really needed a sea of red to catch your attention lady..... thanks for your advise....
haha, kid, hope you survived this sudden sell down. exciting to be in the market eh? *grin*
likely a kneejerk reaction lah. market was too high and too frothy anw. some of your top vol counters are actually in debt and negative EPS, but still ran so high.
anw, don't speculate on the future. market too emotive now. watch dow tonight and see. if dow drops, consider scaling back positions; wait for bottoming to add to fundamental plays.
all markets down except china and spain (from shplayer).
contra trap for the pennies. friday/mon can do some bottom fishing if dow's up. hehe.
hi, Asterisks!!!! welcome... it sure need a sea of red to catch your attention... sir... you are a really busy man.....
dear Eastonbay... in the kopitiams that I go to.. I shouted.."lao hor zi cheah nor ay kah!!" and they bring a bottle (640cl) of tiger beer with two chilled glasses..!!
cks,
what is lao hors??? I hope it's not some bad words
choohian : with the out-laws ???!!! near the jungle ????! ..and u say this calmly .... if i were u , i will be very concerned ...! ; ) hahaha !
....Adam and Eve might not have played shares ... but they sure were playing with "temptation" , and "hoping" to get away with it , "seduced" by a " tip " ..... the emotions invloved are no different from playing shares (provided u have done ur research and homework)....hahaha !
Hi people!
Cautious trading.......
They are now in Kuching with the out-laws. It seems that they are experiencing a cooler weather, nearer the jungles.
Hi Choo Hian,
Am sure your grandchildren not complaining about the weather today. Other days, they must be shouting "so warm!"
Mani, we all know they did not play shares.
Actually, we don't really know what's in Adam and Eve's mind...
since they existed only so long ago...
And the records are written in an ancient language by ancient people, and which are read and interpreted and translated and then followed by 'modern' man.
Language, especially written language is of utmost importance...
I think the history of civilisation survived on the history of language...

Dear Mani....my pal...;)
Had Adam and Eve appreciated the perfection of paradise, they would not have listened to the serpent. Then their sons, Abel and Cain would not have fought to the death! Do u agree?
