What time is the announcement for OCBC?
as expected, OCBC rising. take care of quick profit taking upon release of results.
uob not moving as fast nor as much.
and finally thomsom medical. as expected, gap up till take over price range.
those who bought on the thurs results to trade, are now laughing to bank thanks to a surprise bonus from peter lim. prices expected to dip a little after completion of take over due to high premium paid.
Have to eyeball a few counters today, will be back at lunchtime.
Trade safely, if not confident, best to stay sidelines. Market will be volatile today and tomorrow.
Afternoon likely to be flat or down swing on profit taking, and unease over QE2 announcement on Wednesday.

Today is a up day for STI.
Gap-up very likely in the morning for STI.
US unemployment rate near 10%.
but got a few bullish reports on bloomberg for stock market. see how lor. i also doubt will reach 2.1. but today most movement will be on uob and ocbc.

Travellers walk past departure schedule board at the Changi Airport in Singapore. SINGAPORE: The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said Singapore received 947,000 visitors in September. That's 18.4 per cent more visitors compared to the year-ago month. It was also the highest number of arrivals received in the month of September and marked the 10th consecutive month of record visitor arrivals. STB attributed the performance to the Formula One Grand Prix and the draw of the many leisure and entertainment events under the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2010. Visitor days were estimated at 3.8 million, a year-on-year growth of 17.5 per cent. Visitors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, China, and India accounted for almost 60 per cent of total visitor arrivals. Hotels also recorded higher room revenue and occupancy. -CNA/wk
