Beginners are advised to trade normal shares first !
I know of some people who use CFDs, or Options and lost so much they have to sell car, and almost sell house.
Leveraged trading is at a whole new level, and you must know your risk management very well.
You have been warned.
I went thru CMC CFD trading examples, looks like they are market maker too, and they charge 0.15% commission.
Comparing all market makers, then city index is the best becos they charge $10 flat commission.
what abOUt
CMC Markets ? ? ? ?
nObOdy talked abOUt them ? ? ? ?

On top of worst off buy px and sell px, those market makers do not allow us to participate in auction periods like pre-open, lunch break and pre-close. These periods are very volatile, sometimes can buy/sell at good price.
I am using city index, but changing to MF Global soon.

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Most Asian equity markets ended higher Monday in the wake of strong manufacturing data from China and India and amid hopes for a fresh round of U.S. monetary easing by the Federal Reserve.
Japanese stocks ended lower, however, weighed by concerns over the outlook for earnings and a strong yen.

Investors awaited the Wednesday outcome of a meeting of the Fed in which the U.S. central bank is widely anticipated to a new round of so-called quantitative easing. “The continuation of easing in the U.S. may have a side effect on the Asian markets, in particular on China and Hong Kong,” said Marco Mak, head of research at Taifook Securities. “Whatever the size of the quantitative easing in the U.S., Hong Kong is still flush with liquidity. … What we are concerned here about is an emerging asset bubble. The dilemma is whether we should welcome more liquidity.”
Chinese shares received a boost from the October purchasing managers’ index. The official China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing’s PMI rose to 54.7 in October, up from September’s 53.8. Read full story on China’s PMI data.
The strength in the manufacturing sector was confirmed by a separate survey by HSBC, which showed the PMI rose to 54.8 in October from 52.9.

hmmmm i think it is better, because with city index, we are buying 1 cent higher and selling 1 cent lower than actual shares for those counters priced below $10. above $10, it is a 2 cent difference
