Like what Pharoah said just now, trading means taking calculated and managed risks.

Otherwise, better to be a long-term investor.

Managed risks meaning? Automatic stop-loss should already be in your system as we speak.

If QE2 messes up. Stop-loss will handle everything for you.

Sleeping well at night is important.

Learn also to use your analytical brain as a trader.

When you see the STI trend upwards. What are the BBs and fund managers thinking?

If they think that QE2 will not come, will they push the STI up?

Will they take the risk?

What are they thinking? They are anticipating QE2 to go through!

Are these BBs and fund managers stupid?

No of course not.

So follow the trail and follow the clues.

Will serve you well as a trader in the market. Much needed survival skill.

In my opinion, there is little reason why they want to shake the market prior to mid-term election. In order to result in a success, the economy must look good, with low employment rate.

QE2 will increase GDP and lower unemployment rate.

Sadly it wont make USD stronger. My US shares will yield less profit :)

niuyear      ( Date: 02-Nov-2010 11:08) Posted:

Never say never.  What if they want to  shake the market?

BullishTempo      ( Date: 02-Nov-2010 11:06) Posted:

Its too late for the Feds to say there will be no QE2.

World-wide markets will react violently to this news and they know it.

And what will happen to their mid-term elections? The voters on the streets, and the 9.8% who are unemployed?

What can happen is that the QE2 may be smaller than expected.

So just watch out for that.
