Coal price is on the rise... Shares is uptrend with media coverage...
This morning heard CNBC mentioned Coal price hit a high! sounds good for S A.
Anyone know where to track the coal price?

Straits Asia Resources rose after its parent Straits Resources said it will move control of its coal assets to the Singapore-listed unit to improve growth prospects.
As part of the restructuring, Straits Asia could seek a secondary listing on the Australian stock exchange, it said.
hi /ty/ i bought it at a high price 2.97. Is there any chance to come up to that value by today or to wait until tomorrow my last day of contra.

Gd morning everyone... Lucky i was overslept and the price did went down to 2.77 then bounded back... think this counter is really something!!!! Unpredictable...... going to unload soon....

Big fall in raw minerals prices world wide could be the reason behind today's fall.
ya lor...change like lightning speed ...from a potential bull to now
lidat...aiy...not only this counter reacting wierdly...the whole market
seems to be very unpredictable now also

Nevertheless, I do find it a little weird that it drops today against broad market's rise. DBSV issued a favourable BUY report today. Normally on the day of release, it will get some support unless
1) a huge foreign bank issues a unfavourable report and their voice ususally carry more weight than local banks
2) demand and supply factors of thermal coal causing potential drop in their margin

Thks for letting me at least know why but i still can't digested it!!!! hate to get stocks that seems potential but performed this way... anyway.. still holding till the sut losses price of 2.79.... anything less than this.. i am going to join the bear contigent and fight this counter back... hee

here's the gist of what DBSV said:
DBS Research initiates coverage on Straits Asia with a target
price of $3.89, which implies an FY08 and FY09 PE of 16.7X and
8.6X respectively. Technically, the recent dip in interest among
commodity plays could see the stock capped at $3.44 resistance.
The stock is likely range bound from $2.43 to $3.44 in coming
weeks.

This counter not regarding CPo also kanna short down... haiz dunno wat has happen to thi sworld.... little rise on index will get stocks to surge and now with around 3% increase.... down so much.... can't understand..... sad...
