I would like to see SPC opens $6.20 tomorrow, but crude oil is currently down 55¢. YN, I am monitoring, waiting at 37¢...hehehe...can I borrow your U. Nick is not there to help me. Plate not full, but reserve for emergency shd the mkt turns our. Playing China Energy is as good as playing with SPC, both energy counter. SPC I am familiar with the pattern, not China Energy. So I guess better not touch, let you have my kopi share lah...lol! Cheers.

Really?  I thought today's buying was weaker then Friday.  Then again weak buy could be due to DJ sell down on Friday.

You still have the big L with you so I think SPC will be a kill for you this round.

I thought u shd hold on a little longer for GI, expected it to break out of chart pattern. Anyway, nice to have kopi$$ in pocket. As for SPC, I think we can see rebound to $6.20/$6.25 region. Hence I took position in the morning. If I m wrong, will exit. Not to stay long here for this period.

I will be simple and not go into details, otherwise I may frighten many people.

Margin for jet kerosene has been pretty consistent and did not drop much.

US$ will depreciate significantly against SGD$. US will go into recession if Fed do not cut. But it is not much of a guessing game that Fed will cut. The question is when and how they have to do it to prevent a collapse of US$. Much is at stake.

Dear jkbk007, I do understand your broad hints re tips but could pls be more specific..  e.g what do I watch re US$?  should I look at US-yen ? and what about the US economy ?  I am sorry, I think jet kerosene price at USD 85.5 /barrel is a pretty decent price particularly 0.65 plus, however what does that translate into refining margins?

For now I would not worry too much about the down trend in refining margin. The bigger risk is still the US economy. I think the downtrend on Friday is largely due to the withdrawal of positions by traders in anticipation of the job data release.
