RESEARCH ALERT-DMG ups target for Hi-P to S$1.25, keeps "buy" 04 Nov 2010 - 10:27 SINGAPORE, Nov 4 (Reuters) - DMG & Partners has raised its target price for electronics contract manufacturer Hi-P International to S$1.25 from S$0.97 and maintained its "buy" rating. STATEMENT: DMG said Hi-P International's better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter ended September 30 were mainly due to a strong project pipeline and effective cost control measures. Hi-P International's third-quarter net profit tripled to S$33.2 million ($25.84 million) from a year earlier due to strong demand for its products, as well as lower costs and improved productivity. [ID:nSNZ6PvTfl] DMG said Hi-P stands to benefit from the growth of smart phone and PC shipments, adding that the firm is currently handling four big projects with average project life lasting at least six months. "This implies a stable revenue stream until 1Q11, and with its established track record, we are optimistic on management securing new projects next year," DMG said in a report. At 0204 GMT, Hi-P shares were trading at S$1.09 on a volume of 168,000 shares.

Ha ha, sorry, u meant warning signal fr Damasick coy, as it hold most of the STI index's coys. Presume, they bt most of the coys' stocks at low px, even correction coming, no pinch for them loh. NOL’s operating data for 4 weeks ended Sept. 17 show slowdown in on-year volume growth, freight rates coming off peak, down 2.4% on-period. For reason behind rally, Sarkar says some positive earnings results may be factor, but one need look no further than the Fed, and its readiness to fire up the printing press; “with further loosening of liquidity from the U.S., people expect that will benefit trade. That’s the only news that can explain this kind of rise...it’s all macro.” Orderbook suggests $2.31 may limit upside today.

Feb is CNY rite? Most ppl will be busy
Do it Jan maybe they can make some Any Bao for CNY.
