I have a closer look, I am even more puzzled. First time I encounter this, can anyone advise. As I mentioned, I queue for $6.10 when SPC was trading at $6.15/$6.20. My order was filled at the last minute adjusted price. Now I take another look closely and I realised my queue was $6.10, Status Filled and the Average Price is $6.05. Does that mean that I got my share at $6.05 as of the closing price? Anyone, please advise. Thanks.

I do not know I am lucky or not. I queued for $6.10 and I was given at the last minute adjusted price. Now the buy/sell is $6.05/$6.25. Puzzled!! Tomorrow will open $6.05 or $6.25?

shplayer.. agree with the two term. However, the 'expired' incumbant is obligated to not rock the boat too much for it's party (GOP) candidate for the upcoming election... Something Bush cannot fullfil at the moment... in fact interested republican are all distancing themselves from him.

Pension: the part about cut one % every qtr is very funny "every quarter we will cut a point".

Jackjames: oops.. I know you are a fan of Bush

Pension,

One little comment on your joke........In the USA, the incumbant is only allowed to hold the Presidency for a maximum of 2 terms. bu is already on his 2nd term so will not be eligible to stand for re election in 2008.

Thanks for your view shplayer. Now all are anticipating a 25 basis pt cut. So we can conclude that when Fed cut 25 we would not see a rally as the mkt had factored in the cut already in the current share price.

ideas168,

If FED does not cut on Tues, then the equity market will react very adversely......threatening to affect the whole US economy.....this will then force the hands of the FED to cut.

For me, I am keeping some cash available to capitalise on this if it happens........my guess is there is less than 10% chance of it happening.....so, not banking too much on it.

Personnal opinion.....caveat emptor......good luck to all.

CKS, Fed I think is for sure to cut rate, but now the bet is by how much. I also believe that a 25 basis point cut was somehow factored in the share price now from the previous few mini rally. If the FED cuts by 25, the share price will resume as it was. It will be bonus if FED cut by 50 and we should see another mini rally here in SPC, to test $6.50 or even higher. Now the disaster part is this - if the FED decides to maintain the rate at 5.25, what will happen to the stock mkt. They had STATED very clearly that they will help the economy, but they are not here to bail out investors who had bet on the wrong side. Watch this space! Cheers.

perhaps so but I doubt it... I still look at fundamentals and it is more likely it should test 6.50... particularly if Fed do cut rate...

Disappointed that I thought SPC had trade out of the band, but looking at the trading price last Friday, I feel that the price will be retraced back into the band again. Crude Oil last Friday dropped about $1.00, so I think SPC will retrace back to $6.00 range, probably $6.10. Any price below that is a good trading buy.

I agree with ideas168. Rate cut will only cure the symptoms of the US economy problems but not the underlying sickness.

My analysis is like this. The mkt depressed not becos the BBs are accumulating. It's bcos no ones dares to touch the stock at this moment. i believe all had hear many people saying, "sideline", "cash is king", etc. no buyers/less buyers, how the stock is going up. When 18 Sept passed, all are clearer, buyers will start coming in...you and me, the mkt is booming with buyers again.

Rate cut will create euphoria for while only. The bigger picture is the US economy. If ok, the bull will continue. If not, the bear will take over. I am anticipating 3 cuts to January 08. If these cuts is not sufficient to bring the US economy back on track, we can forget about playing stock for the next 2 years. Like one of the forumers here said, buy gold. I might consider that route. But I will still put some in SPC...expecting oil at $100 in 2008.
