Hmmm... to buy a company for keepsake, the company has to be at least stable and profitable.
I've done a renewed analysis on this counter.
Calling all seasoned players out here, do let me know your views and what is lacking in my brief analysis.

If you are able to afford long-term investing, why not buy some and keep for the long haul ?
But that's only if you can afford to do so (ie. sit on losses in case the price is not ready to rise yet)..
There'd be active buyback of shares by Aztech recently.
Seriously contemplating going into this counter.
Any recommendations/advice?

Something good for Aztech shareholders to be happy about
ANNOUNCEMENT
AZTECH GROUP SECURES CONTRACT FOR THE PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY
OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
Singapore, 12 February 2008 ? Aztech Systems Ltd (?Aztech?) wishes to announce that its
wholly owned subsidiary, AZ United Pte. Ltd. has secured a contract for the supply of
construction material.
The Contract, which is projected to be executed in three stages is worth a total of
approximately S$250 million for the overall procurement and supply of the material over a
period of three (3) years. The first stage is valued at S$23 million, to be executed over a
period of six (6) months. The first delivery is expected to commence by the end of March
2008. The subsequent two stages of the Contract valued at S$92 million and S$138
million respectively are to be executed upon confirmation from the buyer should the
preceding stages progress satisfactorily.
The Group expects the abovementioned project to have a positive impact on its revenue
and earnings per share for the financial year ending 31 December 2008 and 2009.
None of the Directors has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract. As far as the
Directors are aware, none of the controlling shareholders of the Company has any
interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract.
Perhaps only time will tell. Let us look at the 2007 full year results first to analyse.
If the company is still making profit (although we don't expect the company to have accelerating growth each quarter), the net worth of the company will keep increasing.
In my opinion, share prices are only a reflection of the sentiments and not the true value of the company. The true value will only be seen in cases like a takeover.
Alamak, this is addition to the previous post, sorry i know it is offending, type too fast and post..next time will read and edit before post..sorry..hope you dont mind..the 2nd part..
The 2nd shd be stay on,he may do well,in the end he maybe right and make $ for u...
He is going into a more lubrative business to him...he is not taking you for a drive...he is a major holder,he also want to make $ like us,he lose more if fail..small invester got no say,,alternative is to leave and find new one..no point kow peh kow bo..electronic is the worse secter this year..if u feel u are been taken for a drive, then leaving is the only solution for u...teist counter is good..twist to a good one that is more liquid..to make up your loses.
Go and look at other counter which is much better..we want to make $ not noises...and since like u said..losing is part and parcel of investing-nothing to worry abt...then u might well stay on and keep losing..
The question here is not about winning or loosing. Winning and loosing is part and parcel of investing - nothing to worry about!
The question here is whether Aztech's Shareholders are being taken for a ride.
To compare the 2 businesses is simply 'guesswork' and just 'cos Agilent Tech was out, the whole Electronic industries are dead. You see a swallow and you take for granted it is already Summer! Cheers!
Dont worry,if you vested here is ok,I believe the electronic in Singapore is done, after China open up..do you know my coy close down becos we lose out to Korea and China..ever heard of Agilent Technologies???but anyway i left to do my own business before it close..all my friend kana retrench...some senior manager cannot find job...hearsay one is driving cab..
Construction boom will last at least another some few year i guess...i believe construction business is easier than electronic which is more cumbersome..i means to say it is easier to run than electronic..you may have your opinion...if still not happy than i hope you dont mind...just twist counter..maybe u are sitting on loses, but twist counter may improve your chance of making up...good luck.

No one is doubting that Mr Michael Mun isn't a smart guy. Sometimes the smartest person can also make a simple mistake just like Mr Sim of Creative Tech!
If he has any consideration, he should have, at the least, let the Shareholders vote or use his own money! Cheers!
wow...cheongwee, you know Michael Mun?
well, Aztech lost some their shine for a long time, but managed to turn the company around after quite some years.
