The most frustrating part for most of us here who have kena by S chip are not because of business failure but frauds. Many would have prepared to accept the former but definitely not able to stomach the latter with total capital loss.

So whether you are an expert in reading Charts, Financial reports and the understanding of the business and its potential will also not able to escape if fraud is the name of the game at the end.

So to invest/trade in S chips, you decide. BOSAYOR.

Don't try to ask Dr. LWK to do it for you. You may not even have the chance to see him if you earn less than him bcos of dignity. So be very selective.

With all these being said, why is it that not all investors  just stay away totally from S-chips?

GREEDY to make a quick buck!

You SHOULD be  responsible for the risk that you take. And don't complain when things go wrong.

so the CEO of SGX was like the few who created the collaborate mortages in the States a few years ago, in order to make a good figure in their result books to impress that they/he is doing a good job so that they/he could get a good pay, that they didn't bother to scrutinise the companies before accepting them to be listed here.

Why is the CEO not asked to face this problem? White color crimes are so being pardoned or ignored nowadays? Where is confucius???

alas, market is so dead now, better go run other errants

I look at it this way: Good Fishes will never reach Changi End because before it even reaches Katong it is already being caught at Tanjong Rhu. This means, good ones (S Chips) will likely be lured to SSE and HKSE and only the mediocre ones (or some worst ones) then will reach our shore.

Moreover, these exchanges (SSE and HKSE) do have some real expertise in China  in determining which companies are good and able to sieve the bad ones out. Also those bad ones know very well they could not get it listed there. So they try it in Singapore as SGX welcomes them with open arms and legs.

Although not all S Chips are bad but in comparison to other exchanges, we seem to have more of the bad ones than the good ones. Just take a look at the S Chips listed in SGX.

How could the CEO of SGX being paid so well when he is so irresponsible in letting those holigans listed their companies.

Why the head of China never publish in their national papers to ask the companies not to stop doing such shameful things internationally.........just because the whole country from head to toes are the same. that they don't feel sorry or ashamed. Yet the  China  chinese still boast  about their success despite their awful greed and personality

I didnt said anything,  below all this was  said by analysis one.

Overseas fraud cases surrounding Chinese companies may further dampen S-chips sentiment

While accounting fraud cases among S-chip companies are not new to investors here, recent news published in Bloomberg and The Straits Times over the weekend, of high profile fraud (confirmed and speculation) cases among Chinese companies listed overseas can further dampen the already weak sentiment surrounding S-chip stocks.

In US, fraud at a Chinese financial software company called Longtop Financial Technologies was exposed by its auditors Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu after the latter learnt that Longtop did not have the cash it claimed and that there were 'significant bank borrowings' not reflected in the company's books. Last month, Deloitte had resigned as the auditor of another Chinese company, China MediaExpress, in part because of questions about bank confirmations. These incidents hint at the possibility of fraudulent activities beyond the companies concerned, to Chinese banks at least at the branch level, this according to The Straits Times.

With stock market sentiment already affected by macro uncertainties, news of fraud at overseas listed Chinese companies can further dampen interest among S-chips here. Already, S-chips have been less preferred for more than a year, evident from the decline in the relative strength between the FTSE China Top Index and the STI that started as early as August 2009.

They have all the resources and muscles to do background check and verification inside out and outside in and probably someone is sitting in the management team. If it is a business failure, Tamasick also can not do much but unlikely they will invest in those mediocre S chip companies.

If I am not wrong, Tamasick also invested in sick-chips.

Don't know  whether they still hold shares in China Sun.

They make money in China A Oil when they bail out this

stock. Bought very very cheap. Can't remember the purchase

px. now.
