Nobody is right or wrong when comes to investing in shares.You buy base on your decision and analyse the company if it is making the right move in terms of their business model etc. Wind energy is one of the new energy that is providing another form of energy instead of solely relying on oil/fuel etc( that may last another 30 over years). Of course we may need time to see how this wind energy will be generating good profit for the next half year or so. I am vested so just wait for its announcement of its full yr result by end May and see how it goes... The loss for FY 2011 is already made known when they announced the disposal of the fastening business on 21st July 2010.This is not new.Of course, prices may go down for the time being. Will buy if it is 15.5 - 16cents...

Oh, BTW, last night after market closed, this statement was made to SGX :-
The Board of Directors of Renewable Energy Asia Group Limited (“the Company”) and
its subsidiaries (“the Group”) wishes to advise that the Group expects to report a loss
for the full year ended 31 March 2011 (“FY2011”).
Based on a preliminary review of the Group’s performance, the loss is mainly
attributable to net losses incurred by the manufacturing segment of the Group’s
renewable energy business in the second half of FY2011.
Further details will be made available when the Group announces its financial results
for FY2011 by 30 May 2011.
Meanwhile, the Board wishes to advise its shareholders and investors to exercise
caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.
The answer is blowing in the wind...

I don't have this share ,don't know who is this person........just to inform
I wish u right too. As this is the only wind/solar counter in sgx. Maybe if u want to dig deeper, in china, there r a lots of big wind/solar company too. If REA can fight with them it will be good and survive, if not their fundamental will burn a big hole. I had lost touch of this counter many month liao, maybe u can check up yourself more. I wish U luck :)

i admit the short term outlook for REA is not that great, which is why i cut loss for half of my holdings.. but i am sure it will be able to turn around for fy2011, the loss like it say is in the manufacturing segment, its main business in the future is wind business which will be able to generate steady stream of income in the future. maybe there will be a sell down on in the short run, time for ppl to collect bah.. hopefully not too bad :X i really like this counter

At least for this few month( maybe 3 to 6 month), things dont look good for REA.
But anyway is your $$$ and as u like, i just advise those who want a safer road and those find my advise make sense to them :)

Don't anyhow scare ppl. They just dispose off their dormant business and is 100% into wind energy. Long term wise good for the company going forward. The shares prices may stabilize after their disposed off fastening business & a loss for Yr 2010 which is within expectation..

anything big scale in china, it's better to observe for a while when it's too new. It's a bit late to buy in when it's more promising but it's better than those " got head not tail" investment. Money will be stuck for quite a while investing such a long journey company.
Far from it. looks like going below 0.16 soon. Business model full of hot air....

Disposal of the fastening business has bn completed on 13th May. Good news and might see more upside movement ..Hope to see it rises to 25 cents soon

wah you wont know my fear when i saw the news " notice for cessation of executive director" , immediately broke into cold sweat, thought something bad happen again...
haha then realise its for the fastening business directors... phew....this stock really can give me heart attack
but again may i weak heart... Happy Friday the 13th to all REA holders :)
certainly hope its just the general bad market sentiments now :(
wa this one scary sia. either they are trying to shakeout weak holders, or something bad is gonna happen. doesnt look good =(
Result may be out soon and hopefully will move up from here to 25 cents(TP)...
