My estimation is that this counter currently has a 50% chance of dropping further and 50% chance of increasing in price. This stock has already risen a substantial amount in price since March. Best time to enter on hindsight would be at March lows (of course, no use saying this now). Long term wise, the price will definitely increase more than $6.50 as there is still room for growth for this bank as it expands overseas. Short-term wise, the price may also drop below $6.50, especially possible now when a correction in stock price is still ongoing. Our local banks are quite stable investments (thankfully under strict regulations by MAS) though they may not be the best banks around compared to other foreign banks.

I will wait for a more attractive lower price to enter if I am interested in owning shares of OCBC. A lower undervalued price will allow a margin for error in judgment should the company fails to perform in future. A lower price also ensures a higher rate of returns should the initial judgment of the company's future prospects be correctly rewarded in future. So, a low undervalued price protects and also rewards the investor either way.

<It will be also worthwhile to make comparison between the three banks (in terms of their businesses) to decide which is the best to invest your capital in. Cheap stock price of a company compared with another does not necessarily mean the company is worthy of an investment.>
