why do you think the big boys you mentioned need to partner chip eng seng then? they are big enough to go in by themselves and they have local knowledge as well as foreign expertise...

u forgot one thing, take a look at the jv partners of this company, they are mostly real estate funds and with this current subprime woes, u still think they will join in? just my 2cents worth of thinking...
The key point is Joint Venture(JV). Samll tag with big means big boys
i doubt so, for projects of such sizes, likely to go to foreign companies such as shimzi, omayashi and the like...don't think they willing to give it to small boys like chip eng seng...
Straits Time mentioned IR results out within few days. feel that CES has a better chance. They JV with foreign company

u r right, halt before mkt opens to stop bleeding..but personally, i doubt it makes any difference in today's mkt...any news will be ignored except for bad news...
tomwong, haha... they were suppose to halt at 11am initially.. but brought it forward to before trading started... probably to stop the counter from moving too much south becoz of the dow.

nowadays, good news or not, doesn't matter because if dow go down, everybody follows irregardless of results or announcement...haiz...
in my opinion, wait and see till tomorrow morning. if dow doesn't do well 2night.. i'm sure in general, everything will open lower tomorrow...
