From InvestorCentral.org by Samuel Lee 6/05/2010EARNINGS AT A GLANCE
Revenue: S$167mln
Net Profit: S$12.4mln
Net Operating Cashflow: S$5.7mln

CWT has reported a 27% growth in earnings amounting to S$11.7mln (net profit attributable to owners). This was mainly attributed to the 9% surge in revenue from S$153.1mln to S$167mln.

The rise in revenue is said to be due to improvements in the warehousing business and additional income stream from the defense logistics business.

Looking ahead, the growing prominence of Singapore as a global trade and logistics hub has attracted many leading global companies to set up their regional distribution centres in Singapore. This would in turn spur demand for quality logistics facilities and services offered by CWT to capitalize on the vast business opportunities in the region.

CWT Ltd. is the largest listed logistics company in Southeast Asia, offering integrated logistics solutions to some of the world’s leading brands in the chemical, commodities, automotive, marine, oil& gas, defence and industrial sectors.

CWT’s current ratios for 2009(source: Reuters)

CWT Limited
April 13 close: $1.04
CIMB-GK RESEARCH, April 13

INITIATING coverage with 'underperform' rating and target price of $1, pegged at 14x CY2011 core PE, in line with its four-year historical forward PE average.

CWT is the largest listed logistics service company in South-east Asia and enjoys market leadership in its sector. However, we believe the recent run-up in its share price has captured anticipated strong earnings growth as well as the prospect of a special dividend.

Strong demand for ramp-up warehouses: Following the completion of CWT Logistics Hub 3 in Q2 FY2011, CWT will have the biggest market share (26 per cent) of ramp-up warehouses. Ramp-up warehouses are much preferred over conventional warehouses as they provide direct vehicle access to every level, which translates to greater convenience and efficiency.

Earnings growth driven by global economic recovery and growth in the commodity logistics business: CWT is already Asia's No. 1 commodity logistics provider. Management intends to expand this business as it believes that the potential is vast and margins are one of the highest among its businesses.

I believe the price of CACHE will affect its stock price.  Just hope CACHE will move above $1 soon so that CWT will move in tandem.  CACHE is attractively priced considering its high dividend yield of above 8.5%

I really hope so ! This morning, Channel 8 on Good Morning, they mentioned that  Cimb analyst put a target on CWT at S$1 only and already reached, the reason is the management have some high level re-structure and some high level resign (to join maybe Cache, this I guessed etc). I wonder all this is truth or not and what is the impact.

And all this analyst when they put in their comment without any liability and whether is their firm missing the boat when it rise and now hoping to collect the shares from panic investor. One firm is always doing in is Citi. I kana a few time. Thanks for you info.

No reason for CWT to drop so much just because of Low Hock Siew's review (BT) that CWT has a good run up by as much as 60% since early this year.  Should be back to above $1.1

Wait for a couple of days more for the oversubscription of its REIT to be announced  - it will soar.

Reit is attractively priced with yield of 8.8%

Thks Livemore and 178investors  Thks for your advice and reply !

I was not superb or anything ! I just kana stuck and did not cut lost, due to some unforeseen issues ! Can you imagine during IPO period, when I purchase this counter 5lots (5000) at S$2.98, yr 1995 (they still got loan stocks and whatsover funny thing, means CWT investor loan $$ to them for 2 or 3 yrs, they promised to return interest rate%, all I take up and they really returned). But it slide all the way down, and i closed both eye shut. I saw this company was appointed as the only sole Post mail distribution center for Singpost (Spore Post service outsurce, before merge into Singtel's umbrella). Therefore, CWT has brick and mortar logistics business.

Then in an AGM, I attended, people curse and scolded them, and that year, forget which year, then they compensate for some bonus share and total become 7500 shares, I average my cost around S$2.0x. But almost every year got some $$ like S$60 or S$400. Then again in another donkey yrs later (all in economy crisis),  AGM, they agreed to give 1 for 1 bonus, thus become 15000 shares. Then last year they offer rights to purchase new share, (meaning get more $$ from shareholder at S$0.23 cent), I was entitled to only purchase 8000 shares at S$0.23. At first I was a bit pissed off (nabei still want to spend $$ again liao but after reading some feedback from forums, I decided to subscribe, thus pay S$1840), then my average is now 23000 shares at cost of S$0.735. And it drops back to S$0.67, I was curse and swear at this counter in 2009 !

Luckily I keep follow this forums and decided to hold on to it ! Can you imagine I was dam upset on this counter, keep sinking in $$ in purchasing the rights and see it become more papers. But I do admit, in all the AGM, I just attend, but Mr. Loi keep promising and keep the crowd in good control. I just endure to today.

I also wish to say "Thks" to all who keep this forum on this counter healthy and provide good TA and FA comments. If not I also ......aiyah, may be long long yrs already cut lost !

Thks again !
