HK counters the same. Gap-up or gap-down can be 20 cents each time.
SG market is good training ground before going to HK or US markets.

My broker gives me easy access though. There is no issue with laws and taxes, its just like how you trade US shares. Forex is fluctuating from day to day, but China is not allow yuan to move much, so no issue. Its not yet a black candle, I won't say its a confirmed reversal sign yet. |

Singapore shares may rise slightly on Monday after stocks on Wall Street recorded modest gains amid stronger-than-expected US jobs data. The Straits Times Index rose 0.5% to 3,240.31 on Nov. 4. The following companies may have unusual price changes in trading today. Share prices are from the previous close. The market was closed for a public holiday on Nov. 5. Here are some stocks to watch, say Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters. CapitaMalls Asia (CMA SP): The owner of shopping malls in Singapore, Japan, China, India and Malaysia said it plans to invest 3.86 billion yuan ($745 million) in a retail and office complex in Shanghai. The stock lost 0.5% to $2.12.
Hyflux (HYF SP): Singapore’s biggest provider of water-treatment services said third-quarter profit rose 5% to $19 million from a year earlier. Separately, the company said it will give shareholders one bonus share for every two shares held. Hyflux was unchanged at $3.18.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage (JCNC SP): The automotive distributor that gets 89% of sales from Indonesia said third-quarter net income increased 63% to US$584 million ($750 million) from a year earlier. The stock slid 1.6% to $38.48.
SembCorp Marine (SMM SP): The world’s second-largest maker of oil rigs said third-quarter net income more than doubled from a year earlier to $296 million. That beat the average estimate of $199.8 million by four analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Its shares fell 0.4% to $4.74.
Singapore Airlines (SIA SP) and Tiger Airways (TAHL.SI) said they have suspended flights between Jakarta and Singapore because of the volcanic ash from Mount Merapi in Indonesia. Meanwhile, SIA resumed flying its A380 fleet on Friday, lifting a grounding order imposed after a Qantas A380 engine failed inflight, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing.
Britain’s Tesco (TSCO.L) and Singapore’s Dairy Farm (DAIR.SI) are among the bidders to submit second-round indicative offers for French retailer Carrefour’s (CARR.PA) Southeast Asian assets, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Sunday.
Treasury China Trust (TRCT.SI), which focuses on Chinese commercial real estate, is eyeing acquisitions in second-tier Chinese cities to tap the rising purchasing power of consumers, a senior executive said on Friday.

Well a game plan could go as follows :
Monday morning buy some Noble.
Wednesday morning, sell Noble, put profits back to GAR
Thursday after lunch break sell GAR
Put profits back to GenSp (Maybe buy some Olam, reporting on same day as GenSp)
Wait for GenSp announcement. |

OGM! You got into the stock market because of this show? This show has wrongly portrait the stock market. The stock market has nothing to do with prophecy, revenge or invisible hands. In the end, the hero wins by Dumb Luck. What a load of crap. I watch this show when I was in my 20s and the more I watch, the more I roll my eyes. The show is right about one thing though... The stock market is driven by Greed and Fear.

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/The_Greed_of_Man wow, trading runs in the family i see. my family are regular donors of the stock market. i got 1 uncle donated millions. but i am going to break the curse. haha. its time i take back what my family contributed over the years. roll royce looks good to buy fundamentally, yes 1 model of their engine is faulty, reputation hurt etc. but business is still there, it is not like the world will stop using their engines, as such even though with such a big incident, i believe it is a small setback. the shares dropped 5%, which i think is almost overkill. if drop more than 10%, then is oversold. for the china con bank, their gap up so strong. 3 days of gap up in a trend of 7 white candles. definitely need to fill the gap 1, last day is narrow trading day + high volume, most likely tmr will show a reversal to the uptrend. my guess, will fill the 8 to 8.20 gap at least for tmr.

For this week just focus on Sg market.
GenSp is the highlight of the week.
Don't lose your focus !
with such a long tail on top with high volume to support, i am willing to bet that it will fall tmr. they traded on friday, after the US rally and QE2. i dont see a reason for it to gap up once more again.
i also see the breakout of the flag formation in Noble like spidey mentioned. but i tmr too busy to monitor in the 1st 2 hours, so better not risk my $$$. although i gotta admit, noble golden and sp are quite tempting to buy given that US up for 2 days, tmr might just be the blast off we need.
ok i go slp liao. nites all.

Wow millions of dollars? Nvm, I know you will make it all back for your uncle.
Dunno much about rolls royce, have never traded this one.
Do you know our local banks, UOB, DBS and OCBC loves investing in foreign banks, especially China banks? If they are investing in those banks, why shouldn't we?
